I used the same RP 5-40 and OEM filter. I only added some of the synthetic hyperlube to it to help quiet things down.

I did the 170 t stat in mine, and it's working out great. Torrie adjusted my fan settings and I was good to go. I was having a hard time seeing the Temps at 210 on a hot day. Now it's much more more manageable.

It's a little less than 1CU FT. I have been researchingt subs myself, and I think I will be cutting out the face of the box and putting in a shallow depth 12" sub. I'll have to to a little cutting on the box, but that's no big deal to me.
