How much $$ to get 700 RWHP?

You're right I did state that I was around 470 back in June, as Sergio pointed out I have had some head work done recently which put me at 517

Usually a cam and other bolt ons will yield 520ish rwhp. Head work should give you a nice boost above that. But, as we all know the dyno is really just a tuning tool. Get that thing to the track so we can see what it will really do!

That's definitely next on my list of things to do, I'm curious myself to see what kind of #'s it will put down at the track.

If somebody is looking for a over 700 rwhp Truck mine is for sale. Fully Built Engine Paxton SuperCharger, Built Tranny and a bunch of extras. Always garage kept.

Post some pics of your past projects. The bad news is getting 15-20 people, maybe 1 or 2 if your lucky. Anything that costs more than $100 and the odds go down fast.

A lot has happened since my last post:

The way I had envisioned the layout to be did indeed fit on the Gen 2 Viper but was a no go on the Gen 3 Viper and certainly a no go on the truck because there are three holes on the Gen 3 Viper block for the motor mounts. The car uses the front 2 holes, the truck uses the rear 2 holes. So even if it would have fit the Gen 3 Viper, the motor mount for the truck being further back would kill the deal....

I ended up deciding to make a center merged cast manifold that is universal that is similar to this:

render2_zps3fd2c6f8.jpg

This could be turned upside down and the turbos could be mounted next to the Valve covers for the ultimate bling/WOW factor when the hood is opened. The air filters could be bolted right to the compressor inlet and there could be some simple piping run to the front mount intercooler and then into the throttle body.

Maybe something laid out like this:

This setup is not super sexy, but the general layout is what I am thinking about.

There was another TT SRT Ram truck that looked fantastic I saw a few months back I can't find now but will post again in a bit when I find it on my external hard drive....

Like I have posted before, there has been documentation that a Gen 3 Viper motor with the correct SCT tune has run 800 RWHP(measured on a Mustang dyno that is not kind to egoes) for almost 20,000 miles by this point. I would use the same person for the SCT tunes that tuned this car.

So, since there is not a lot of interest for a high number of people who would be interested in a TT setup for ~ 10K, is there one person who would want a prototype setup for about 10K?

The TT setup would surely make more power and area under the curve than any blower package.

Anybody interested?

If so, I would like to become a vendor and start making TT packages for the SRT RAM truck guys!

Why don't you think that setup is sexy, I do. look's nice

I think it's not bad, but could be sexier like that ART build I saw a couple of months ago. Did you see that one?

Was busy with wedding lol

Was that the carbon fiber bodied Viper that ran at the Texas Mile?

No they did a truck a few years back and it looked nicer than the pro turbo setup I posted the pictures of a few posts earlier.

That Viper had a carbon fiber wrap, not carbon fiber body.

Either way, that car looked sick and ran 230+ mph

I think that TT setup up above is sexy. Perhaps could use some powdercoating to give it more bling but TT's on a Viper motor speaks for itself any day of the week. Jfireboy has a super sexy TT setup!

nice pics of my truck, much appreciated , got a truck now that we are putting the kit on.

I read the rest of the thread and see from your screen name "Stinker", that must indeed be your truck..... I see how Pro Turbo took advantage of you and did not take care of business.......

Here is a link to the thread about your truck they posted April 27, 2006 as well as the pics I posted from that thread to show a general layout of top mounted twin turbos for the truck:

PTS Twin Turbo Viper Truck - Viper Alley - Dodge Viper Forum -2013 SRT Viper

I meant no disrespect to anybody's setup as I know Pro Turbo Systems went out of business shortly after that time. I know this because they stiffed me for almost $3,000.00 before they went under, Dalton screwed me over just like he did to you....

I found the pics I could not find earlier of another twin turbo truck build that I thought looked even better than the Pro Turbo setup done by your buddies at ART. Perhaps just a cleaner installation. Definitely more money in that build for sure with all the billet valve covers and stuff.... Here are a couple of pics:

JTS, I would love to see the pics of the turbo system you are installing. Did you design/fabricate it yourself or is it an old Pro Turbo Systems kit?

How much do you charge for the system you are installing?

Like I said earlier, I am willing to become a vendor here if there is some interest in a twin turbo system for the SRT Ram.

Up to the JTS Venom post, there was never one post on this thread about JTS Venom or another vendor having a TT system for sale here aside from the JMB big single. People mentioned Dom's monster single turbo truck and I had seen that truck when Justin had just finished it back in about 2007. Aside from that, I had not heard about anybody else.

I have designed and fabricated many turbo systems that have made great power with outstanding reliability and daily driveability characteristics.

I have this new universal, super compact cast Viper exhaust manifold in the works that would be perfect for some type of top mounted twin turbo setup for the SRT-10 Truck guys.....

I'm just trying to see if there is interest and at what pricing point.

I am envisioning a super simple cast manifold setup with minimal bends, simple installation that will reliably make anyhwere from 600-800 RWHP on stock internals at low boost like it already has on the SRT-10 Vipers.

If nobody is interested in taking advantage of such a setup and people want to stick to NA or supercharger upgrades, that's fine too.

None taken my friend I kno your work well
Good stuff boss!
An yessir pro dorks highly blow lol
But we went one off on a twin and single deal

Cool! Thanks for the friendly response!

I already tried calling earlier today, and you were out.....

I'll try you next week!

Have fun @ VOI!

We all want a TT setup. Probably almost every member on this forum wants FI of some variety. The issue, IMO, isn't so much the cost of the FI package, it's the 100 other things that have to get upgraded so that the FI isn't all for not. Example: A quad cab 10 is at a minimum going to need a built tranny if it hopes to remain driveable for any amount of time. That's costly. Traction is always going to be an issue, so there's potential for purchasing upgrades there as well (caltracs, different tires, etc). Then factor in cost of tuning, labor, installing extra gauges (boost and AFR at a minimum), upgrading exhaust for a turbo setup, etc. If you can produce a kit that works with stock internals then you will certainly be ahead of the game, as most of us would at least want that. But more than likely most of your pool of customers is going to be RC 10's since their tranny can handle more power than us 4 door guys.

I have wanted to go FI since I bought my truck last October. Only thing holding me back is the fact that if I want a reliable FI daily driver, I need forged internals to feel comfortable putting the daily driver stress on the engine. I just dont have the spare 20k laying around to do forged internals and FI....yet.
