That's a really good idea, Spyder. Looks great... The factory 22's should be that much bigger diameter then the 20" spare. I think the two overall sizes are pretty close.

The reproduction wheels are heavier by a few pounds. They are cast instead of forged. They can also bend easier for the same reason.

The ONLY reason I would buy a base C5 is because they have the targa top.... I like my fresh air. :p And, I can easily make them faster than a stock Z. ;)

A '99 or '00 Z06 w/ 70,000-100,000 miles on it won't do that, tho... :o And, I think those numbers were pretty ambitious for the 385hp cars anyway. ;)

I agree... they have WAY more gear than a L... obviously.

The very early C5 Z06's were 385hp.... then went to 405. That being said, it is quite common to add Z06 rear fenders (w/ducts) to a standard c5 (330hp).... the guy could have been a poser. But, I don't see a even mildly tuned Lightning having a problem with a early Z.

I think if you left the hood black, you would have to paint the grill surround black as well... just looks strange to me with a yellow grill. :o It would look AWESOME black with a yellow stinger! :rock:
