I'd assume there would be some sort of rebuild to get real high mileage but I could be wrong. What are some of the first things to let go on these motors? Besides the oil cooler lines and power steering hoses of course lol.
And here I've been thinking for the last 19 years that the 6 speed was the way to go lol. I'll have to dig through some old threads and see what I can learn about the old hurst
I fixed the recline lever. I had one motor on drivers seat either not working or not moving the seat, I don't quite remember. Probably should have looked at it while I had the seats out.
I had my recline lever get froze up. It was in a decent position so it didn't bother me. Left a car show and seat got stuck all the way back. Took seats out took recline assembly apart. Plenty of elbow grease was required but got it working.
I haven't given it to him yet. Not sure what the process is. It may already be on there from a previous owner for all I know. Truck has been around the block it has 108,000 miles and counting. Is the registry searchable? It might be interesting to learn any history there may be on it.
