You guys are missing the point of a gtg. Its not about where we go its about who is going and getting together and having a good time.
If you do not want to drive. There are pretty cheap flights to Phoenix and its cheaper than driving.

The other option is to fly there for about $100~150 rd trip.

Nope, not an option, takes me 1 1/2 - 2 hours to get to LAX, then work your way through the mess with the rest of the cattle, by the time I get through all that crap, I could be damn near Vegas.When there's one in Vegas I'll be there.

PHX is it. I got a few calls from members saying for me just to organize it and lock down the days. this accomadtes most of the events (hang out, eating, racing, fun stuff), but is in my neck of the woods to organize. SD was just missing a drag strip. sorry to those who cant make it. its 4 months away so start saving

I like the idea of going where the majority voted for, if not, it makes the poll somewhat pointless. :dontknow: I think the poll shows that more people will tend to show up where they voted (hence a larger GTG).

But after all, its Carlo's deal.... Im going to respect that and stay out of it

Sounds great for Phoenix, someone needed to get this started. If we plan it right we could just pay entry for the regular Sat nite drags and arrange for a separate staging lane for the trucks. One of the two strips should have a Sat nite event. We should arrange for a hotel with a meeting room next to the bar to party to the wee hours, and also stay at the hotel. The DUI squad is always roaming and anyone wasted can stay at the hotel. In fact we could all chip in and have a crash room for anyone that needs it and isn't staying at the hotel.

One thought. If we went to Cali there would be a security problem with our trucks. The tracks tend to be industrial areas away from good hotels. If you go to the Riverside area and get stopped with even a hint of a street race you lose your truck and then get to watch the court have it CRUSHED! Modified vehicles get impounded. Source- documentary on Phoenix TV about street racing. A group of our trucks would be a neon sign to them.
