This is a thread intended to inform other QC owners about your conversion and what you think about the transformation.
How many miles on your conversion? How long has it been? 1/4 mile improvements? MPG improvements? All the good stuff that's informative to others considering this conversion :burnout:

Just completed mine a few weeks ago.

Overall a 10/10!

An absolute must for the die-hard enthusiast.

I used to get 12 mpg driving to my parents house- now I get 17 mpg.

Truck feels notably faster and smoother. I never really liked the constant whiplash from the automatic transmission. I love the "real" connection with the truck now. I never feel like in total control unless I am driving a manual transmission.

Why does the ecu need re flashing for a manual conversion?

Because the ECU controls the automatic transmission. If the ECU does not "see" the transmission, the truck runs like shit.

Torrie sells the tunes for the conversion. That's what I ended up doing. Runs like a champ.

I received both my trucks with the 6 speed conversion right out of the SRT factory, great fit and finish, and can get up to 19+mpg on the highway in 6th gear, love the feel and control, only way to go lol

Actually my truck ran great!! No issues, I just hate Check Engine Lights! I simply switched to a RC PCM with a tune and BAM!! Back then Torrie couldn't remove all trannys codes so I had a CEL.
Truck has been BEAST since T56 swap, then Alum shaft, then alum flywheel. Better each time

Wow that's funny, dont quit your day job.

Love my swap, it's a whole different experience then an RC, everyone that even knows what an srt10 is underdogs the QC or just QC trucks in general. my swap helped change all the rumors of a full sized srt10, getting over 500 wheel with just bolt ons for now about 16mpg hwy and having way more fun. For the 06 guys thinking about doing it, good luck getting a center console.

The best part is taking friends for rides- who have been in the truck before the swap. The look on their faces is awesome!

I love my swap so far and I haven't upgraded clutch or flywheel yet. Its a beast with the 150 shot from a 40-50 roll. No new track times, yet. :D

Will be doing mine this winter. Swapping the built motor from the 06 and six speed into the 05 QC. Think I hv everything but center console for 05.
