Trying to figure out how to get my 60' back into the 2.0 range or better with stock tires. I'm thinking if I could have done it last weekend my 13.151 (60' 2.2-2.3) would have been in the 12.xxx range (mind you alt of 6300 feet or so).
I was also thinking that I gained roughly 74 horses at the tires with my trip to PBJ a few weeks ago. My best time last year was 13.889. So if you figure 10 horsepower increases reduce your 1/4 mile time a tenth I would have lowered mine about 3/4 of a second which is right on with what I did ([email protected]). This should translate into a 12.1 or so at sea level I think.
As far as I can tell I can improve my times by lowering my 60' and getting cleaner/faster shifts.
If I were to go to a drag radial whats the minimum launch rpm I would need to reap a benefit of the tires vs the stockers?
Anything I'm missing? I may try another shifter if my 3-4 shifts dont improve. Anyone else with the GenIV have problems with a quick 3-4 shift?
