8.30 @ 166.72

I just use HP calcs................ I figure if your guessing HP why not let the software do it. Rekon they've taken a few samples to measure the calculations.

drivetrain loss isn't linear....so as you get to a 1300rwhp truck the loss percentage gets smaller....

well nowwhat that 10.... whatever yourun is not gonna cut it .. time to make that bitch faster.. much much faster... get to work

Mind you no Viper (that I know of) has gone 8.3 second in the quarter...shift or auto. One just cracked into the 8's today (Sunday). A few have reached the 8.xx second mark, just not that deep. Also, some/most of the Vipers that have reached the 8's in the quarter are also street legal with full interiors. Dont think that Lightning can say that :)

WAY OFF TOPIC!

google 7 second viper. Of course you get the normal blurb about how supra's are faster than greased whale shit on the windshield of a sr-71 but it's a good read.

Well this Viper ran 8.14 @ 172 mph in Memphis on pump gas and DOT tires. And will run in the 7's soon. Nothing on that lightning is factory except maybe the blue oval.

Well Johnny Lightning set a new world record. Not bad for a 3700# truck with a 330 ci motor.

Here it is ON DA BUMPER!!

Sorry but I know what Johnny is running and it isn't a 330 cubic inch motor. it is a Ford GT (GT40) aluminum short block that is bored and stroked to 354 CI. the heads are still the conv. style 2V heads and it has twin hair dryers on it with nitrous, it is 4 linked and the roof is chopped 3" along with tubular cab forward frame.

Props to Johnny no doubt but lets just say it a full blown race truck and nothing more.

     Props to the Ford man for calling a spade a spade.

Lol... i wouldn't knock the Geo's...... there is a member on this board that has done 11's with an Isuzu Imark (same motor as a Geo Storm!)
