Yeah guys, this is a tough sensitive subject but I'll give ya my 2 cents on it. I personally have not seen the movie that you're talking about, but I know the jist of it, and you're right it is compelling, and the movie does exactly what it's intended to do, it gets you thinking. I think the biggest issue with it, is that it's all speculation,and most of it unfounded.
If you look closely at the events around 9/11, you're gonna find alot of open ended questions like, whether or not, a jetliner went into the pentagon, why did the twin towers come down so easliy?, what about the mysterious small white jet that was supposedly seen circling the crash site right after flight 93 went down in PA? I can tell you from a factual standpoint that a 757 did in fact go into the Pentagon, and there was harldy anything left of it due to the velocity and the angle of the impact. Supposedly that plane was less than 10 feet off the ground and level (not diving) when it hit. It also hit at a VERY high speed. This is all public knowledge and you can see the video on the internet. JP-8 which is what we use by majority in the Military, has a very high flash point, and has to get extremely hot to burn. You can literally throw a cigarette into a bucket of JP-8 and nothing will happen, so you can imagine what it does when it burns, VERY HOT!!
I have a BS in Professional Aeronautics with a minor in Safety and one thing I learned in school was that crash investigation is a science to fullest degree. You can't look at a crash site and say "How can this be a crash site, there's no pieces, it doesn't look right, there's no bodies etc...etc..." so when so called "experts" make a hypothesis on what happened, I don't buy it unless they have all the facts, and that's where the problem lies. No one that doesn't need to know what really happened on 9/11 can make a true call on it. They can speculate all day.
Now for the devils advocate. Is there stuff that the public doesn't know about 9/11...sure there is, there's alot, but the people who need to know, do know. I think people forget to realize how much goes on behind the scenes to keep America the big kid on the block. Do you think we play completely fair in a world of cheaters and criminals. Hell no, we can't, and that's how it is.
I can tell you that from what I know, in a nutshell, a group of guys from all over the middle east hopped on some planes and murdered thousands of innocent people. That's enough for me man, because on Oct 7 2001 I was pumping a bunch of gas into a B-1B bomber over the Indian Ocean and those guys were about an hour away from starting a little bomb dropping practice called "Operation Enduring Freedom". Here's a pic from about an hour before the war started. I was there man, and it felt damn good!!!
