A good deal?

Great looking Porsche! LOOKS like a GT3, without the need for a kidney-belt. LOL! ;) It has a LOT of quality upgrades (as, I'm sure, you already know).... I think it's a good deal at $75-$78k. But, it will continue to depreciate. As long as that's cool, I think it's a great car. :)

Looks real nice, but personally I think I would go for a GT3 or GT2.

This place (see link below) had a couple GT3's for sale. A 2005 and a 2007. I came real close to trading the Cobra for the 2005, but then decided I had waited to long to own a Cobra and I needed to keep it for at least a couple years.

And I understand your reasoning for selling the Viper. That is the exact reason I never bought a sport bike. I know I would have killed myself on it. As it is, it's a little hard to maintain myself with the Cobra. Not as fast as your Viper was, but I probably could have given you a good race up to 150 or so.

Hope all is going well with you my friend.

Take care,

John

Great to see you Walt:rock: Funny how you get used to the HP, and everytime you get a little more "seat"... you find yourself squeezing a bit more out of her. I can't imagine a TT... they were insane at the dragstrip when UR was running. We would rather you stick around too.
Nice car, who knew... yellow on silver, :dontknow: I admit that looks pretty damn good. Good Luck on the decision.:burnout:

Walt, dont forget Hallet and coming to see me race in a few weeks :)

I guess I wont get that ride I was hoping for in the TT Viper...oh well :)

there's several issues with that car
1: they started off with a regular 997 and modded the crap outa it... gee that was kinda dumb if they wanted a fast porsche they shoulda bought one
2: those 40K in mods they listed... that stuff depreciates faster than you can say horsepuckey... in the time it took me to write this sentance another 100 bucks is gone on that car :p

with that said... is it a good deal??
well if you don't mind driving some run of the mill 997 with a buncha lamer mods. (actually part of that's sarcasm.. the mods seem VERY nice)
did it say if it was a carrera 4 or 4s??? in my opinion if you're going to get a track car frick'n buy a gt2... if you want a daily driver and not go frick'n crazy nuts get a turbo... they're AWD so they handle great and have more than enough power (well maybe for you they don't :p)

lastly... I've found myself pushing some of my faster cars <not quite to the point of 220> but to the point of drifting around corners and wondering if that pothole in the road was going to throw me off the road  .... anyway..... I don't think you need to adjust the vehicles you drive... you just need to adjust how you approach driving them....

anyway... that's my input... good luck with whatever you decide.... obviously I think the car's a good deal if you want a run of the mill 997 with some fancy crap on it... personally i'd be a lot happier in a turbo with a shift kit & exhaust... but that's me... heck I traded in my 996 cab4 in on my 05 ram srt-10 rc... guess which one I prefered:D

peace :D
