A very bad day

Anybody else notice how you rarely ever see a car with 30 day temp tags anymore? I have only seen 2 this year! I am on the road everyday with my job. I use to see them all the time.....its was common place.

Sorry about your job 1Qck but am glad you found a replacement. Its going to be a rough year for many of us.

Glad you still have a job. My little town had two dealerships. A Chevy dealership and a multi brand dealer (Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, GMC, Pontiac). Only the Chevy dealership remains. If GM goes under that will probably finish them as well. If I wanted to buy a new car, I don't know which way to turn. Japanese I guess. I think they're still doing OK.

Buy GM/Chrysler/Ford if you can... they, BY FAR, have the best deals right now.

We lost our Pontiac dealer in town. Dodge is still here.

Some of the mechanics asked me to find a small repair shop to open for them to work in. I imagine with less new car sales, there will be an increase in used car repair.

well if the scuttlebut is true you have no worries, Fiat dont laugh is ging to take a stake in the company, which 1 Fiat is a very strong comapny with all there own parts making capability 2 chrysler is banking on there fuel efficiancy capability which they will incorparte into there cars. There is a few more I will find the article but right now I beleive the only thing there waiting of course is the Feds. SO keep your fingers crossed, Fiat may save the Viper:D

Sorry to hear the news. Keep your head up, it will all work out in the end. They have laid off a lot of people at my work also. We are tied to the construction industry so we will be hurting until that picks back up.
