AIRBAG LIGHT ON: 04' RAM HEMI

my son's truck: the airbag light stays on after starting her up:dontknow:

question : do these trucks have weight sensing seats? i intalled an amp around the same time (under the seat)wondering if i could have pulled a wire loose. (i would look myself but i'm nowhere near the truck)

any ideas? i did disconnect the negative battery cable for 15 minutes when i was home,no luck.

They do not have weight sensors, but check to make sure you did not pull the wire from the seat belt under the seat

My 06RC air bag light is on as well. It was warrantied by the previous owner for the same thing as well. The air bag light has been a pain for me as well. I just haven't made the time to take it to a dealer or DC Performance.

forewarned! from what i have read on the internet,if the light is on...the system will NOT activate if you hit something (no bags will deploy)

There is a recall on the 06 rams to replace the passenger airbag and seatbelt.

okay...took it to a mechanic,he put an instrument on the truck.it showed a wire went to ground in one of the side airbags. he found a pinched wire between the rear/side plastic panel and the framing.(i removed and replaced them when i installed the amp) :dontknow: SHAME ON ME! ($135.00)
