Thanks! And thanks to all who have offered. I think that I have a solution. I will let you all know when it is for sure....

There you go Eddie. She is a beautiful dog, if she was on this side of the country she would have been spoken for instantly. I would love to have her, and I'm pretty sure my brother would be willing to fight for her hehehe. I don't ever remember seeing a white boxer before, I love her color. And I love the ears and tails left just the way they are, no matter what breed I would ever get, the way it is born is the way it stays.

It is nice to get some good news from somewhere today.....

It is actually soothing to my troubled heart to know that (at least) we are moving closer to saving this poor pup........

God bless us.......everyone.

Ok, Now it gets interesting...

I have someone that is willing to take her, and I am willing to take a chance by taking her in my truck to Macon, but now I can't get a hold of her owner...

I have to work in the morning and I am planning on leaving as soon as I get out of work. I can't use the phone while I am at work, so I don't know how I am going to be able to arrange to pick Ivory up, if I am taking her with me to Macon...

Geez...

I will keep trying, and let you all know as I know.

Ok, I finally got a hold of him.

Ivory will be coming with me and Clint to Macon! Wish me luck with a large dog in my truck!:eek: I have to tell you that I am not exactly thrilled about that.

Is she riding in the truck? If so,Is she used to riding? You may be better off putting her in a kennel in the back,And checking on her regularly. Most dogs do pretty good in a kennel. Just my .02

Thought about that, two problems:

1. I don't have a kennel.

2. She's never been in a kennel.

I guess Clint is dog sitting on the ride up!!:D:D:D

Thanks, but it's all good. I will figure it out...

A good blanket and some room on the back seat and she should be all set...

I take my VTCoA hat off to you for what you are doing for this fine animal.:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

Just an FYI...our vet has reccomended benadryl in the past for sedation if Ivory needs it. The dose is one milligram per pound of the dog. It has worked well for our pups when needed. If her owner thinks she needs sedation, maybe her vet can give you a dose of something. I commend you for your care in finding her a good home. I have always had a soft spot for critters too.

If we need to, we'll clean out the truck when you get to Macon. I usually fold up the seats and cover the entire back area with blankets when I need to take my "kids" in the truck. If you keep the center armrest in the upright landing position, it usually keeps them from coming up front. See you guys tomorrow.
