Anyone own Hemi QC and SRT-10 QC?

CAROLINA SRT... NICE TO SEE YOU AROUND HERE SR. AND NICE HEMI... YOU OWN THE FASTES COLOR TRUCKS:D

Hey DJ.......how ya doin'.........and thanks.

Bought my wife an '07 QC Hemi Big Horn. It is getting 16 mpg city/highway,has lifetime powertrain warranty, got 6,000 back from Dodge, got 13 mpg towing the Coronet. I would buy the Hemi if I was going to use it everyday. I feel like it will get 18 mpg strictly highway which is what my '03 Hemi QC used to get.

take over my lease payments, $508/mos...I only have 13 months left, gives you a year to decide if you like it.

That is tempting, but I think I would rather purchase something since my diesel is paid off and I can save on the sales tax for a new one.

Thanks for all the opinions guys! I am really torn about this decision, but all the info is really helping!

When in doubt always follow your first choice.

Unfortunately, my other half doesn't like my first choice (SRT-10), she likes lifted 4x4's like I have now. She was hoping the Viper satisfied my "speed" fix. Unfortunately, it just made it worse by showing me how slow the diesel really is. I don't street race or anything, just want something that accelerates and handles well. :D

You need a SRT10 then, the diesel can be fast but won't handle as well. My buy oout is 30K at the end of the lease. Not bad deal an 06 with 11K miles, and the mods (i have stock parts)....I just want money to make my Viper faster:D

Unfortunately I am interested in a Mineral Gray truck. So yours would be about 36K with the rest of the lease and buyout? I wanted every option but rear seat entertainment, what does yours have? I really wanted to trade so I wouldn't have to pay taxes again! :(

Sunroof, heated seats, Nav, 6 disc...fully loaded no Rear seat ent. You either got sunroof or RSE. Whats you diesel worth? is it a diesel I would trade straight up if it were close, I just want a new toy:D

I can feel your pain about using it as a truck. I bought my QC for a work truck and have been sent to the priciple's office by the members for using this as a work truck. I use it for work and have had no problems with it at all. I just got good at taking off the wing on a regular basis.

What's mine worth - not sure, but probably in the ballpark of your truck. It is a 2006 Ram MegaCab 4x4 (2500) 6 speed manual. Kore 3" lift, 20" forged wheels, 35" BFG AT, debadged, SLT, sunroof, nav, power rear window, Amp powersteps, Wet Okole Sear Covers, Mopar bedliner, rear wheel well liners, tint, 14k miles. I have all the stock parts also. Motor is bone stock. Here are some pics:

You better have arms like Gumby to reach it!!! :D

You got any pics of yours? My gears are turning as well! I have found a Mineral Gray truck here in Houston that is what I want at a dealership, but I don't want to screw with them, plus I don't know how the truck was treated. I would need to find out if the state of TX would let us swap and me not pay taxes on yours like a trade in. I was already thinking about returning the truck to stock if I were to trade it in, those mods were some $$$... :)

I could go back to stock or give you the parts, you may want to keep the Stage II, just drives better. Also I had the trans serviced at 5k miles just to have the bands tightened as a preventative. regualr service on the truck, mostly garaged, seen the rain a few times but no snow.

Nope, I would want it as is with the stock parts.

Need pics!! :)

I will get some this weekend, I also have the black and red emblem on the front where the ram head was. looks just like the truck SRTBRAD just bought

Would you sell/trade it with the lift and rims? For all I care you could take the lift off and sell it, but I would take the rims, they look nice.
4x4? or 2wd

It is a 4x4. I would sell it however and adjust the price accordingly. If I took the lift off the tires would be too big for the truck and rub instantly.

2wd diesel with a smarty add up to 150 extra hp and the dealers cant trace it http://www.smartypower.com/CRSMARTY.html. that will fix it trust me this thing is no joke. its the best thing and you can upgrade it for free

Yep, and I'll need a new clutch a few weeks later...... ;)

I've been tempted to mod the engine many times, but don't want to do that to my daily driver. The lift is little and doesn't invoke too much additional stress on the stock parts, and I had to talk myself into that one as well! I like to leave my daily drivers close to stock and reliable! :D
