I see you just posted for your first time and I wanted to welcome you to the VTCoA!

Hey thanks! New to being a truck owner, I have a 2005 viper ram QC. It's surely is a beast! I love it. New to the truck as I said but not new to SRT's. I owned a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 that I traded for the truck. It was faster stock vs. stock, but I liked the rwd vs. awd. Being it's only a summer vehicle, I prefer rwd. Anyway, thanks for the welcome! The only thing that's done to my truck is the previous owner had a magnaflow muffler welded in place of the stock muffler.

Welcome to the VTCOA. Venomous1 isn't too far from you. Have him put a 6 speed in your otherwise stock QC, and you'll be eating GCSRT8's for breakfast.

Black on black. Where is venomous1 located? I think, you think i live in Dallas, Texas. But, I'm actually from Canada. My name is Dallas, just to clarify. A 6speed would be killer. I had a choice between a RC and a QC. Both black on black. My gf wouldn't let me get the RC, because we are having a baby. So she said no to the RC and yes to the QC, even though we were shopping for a new vehicle for her. I drove both, wanted the RC badly, but couldn't justify it. Mine has 37xxx kms/23xxxmiles and the other 10 had 17xxxkms/10xxxmiles. Pretty happy with it. Don't care about fuel cost, want more power, but who doesn't? I've read a lot on here and been on many sites for parts, but sites say this and that about their parts. What do you guys think your best starting mods were, as far as performance goes? Right now I'm looking to get a K&N drop in, sct tuner(I hear it's best, for what I want right now anyways), 170 degree thermostat, and cut the rear cats out. Anything else you guys suggest?

You pretty much have the basics covered with what you want to do performance wise. Good luck with the truck and if you have any questions, use the search function first and if you can't find it there ask away. Unless it's about 4.88 gears, there are some people that really don't like that topic for some reason. :D

Ironically, I think 4.88's are a great first mod. A tuner is also a necessity for a QC. If you have a little more cash, I'd do a 6 speed swap and headers.

Welcome to the RBC. Forget the mods, give the QC to the GF and go back and get the RC for yourself..........(JK)

Welcome

Well, we bought her a 2013 gmc terrain, and an srt10 is a huge step up from that. I didn't even like her driving the jeep SRT. Our economy isn't crap and I make really good money, so that's not a problem, it's the convincing her to spend the 1-1500$ for "parts". Have to be able to justify it to her. Haha.

Welcome from another Alberta member. Search around, there is a few of us on this forum. My first mods for my quad cab were K&N, SCT tuned by Chris Jensen, American racing headers with mid pipes no cats, if your gonna cut out the rears you might as well cut them all out and Borla exhaust & BBK throttle body. I'm working on a couple more tricks but that will be later.

We also have Alberta members on here with the big toys too, Paxton SC, Procharger, ROE SC, Striker heads, custom cams, NOS, And one member in Fort Sask. is working on his own turbo set up i can't rememberer if it's a single or twin set up.

So there's lot's of info on here and Alberta so you have come to the right place. Next though will be finding a good place to store your truck for winter.

Welcome from LA by way of Vancouver BC. Don't listen to any of the hype. Get 5:13's or 4:88's, 33inch x 16" M&H slicks with shaved rear calipers, JMB line lock, 170 T Stat, Belanger long tubes, with catless mids and V1R Snake Bit exhaust, SCT tuned by Chris Jensen with a 200 ramped shot N2O, V1R, long bars and underdrive pulley, QA1's, and a few weight reduction mods (ask Trainman).;)

I think this is the first thread ever where we unanimously agreed a gear swap would be a great first mod. I'm kinda disappointed in us about it!
