Auto Rod Technologies Parts Runner

maybe a company that sells vintage air retrofit / custom AC kits might be able to hook you up with some lines or parts to build your own.

This was my initial thought but from what I saw while browsing online they have different ends.. that being said I plan to call them but I figured I better have everything in place just in case they can make them for me, because then I can give them the measurements vs. saying. oh I can get them in a few weeks. lol.

Nice work boss. The fender liners are sweet and you delivered on those. I believe Charlie is doing a set but a little different. You have some nice metal working skills.
Most of the wiring should be pretty easy for you to hide. As far as the abs brake module I moved mine to the frame rail under the drivers door. I'm still working on the a/c lines my self I wanted them to be hidden as much as possible. Keep up the good work.

I made the decision today to mount the ABS as in you're picture, and as of now other than the battery relocation it looks like it will be about the only wiring modifications I'm going to have to make. Figured out where I'm re-locating the computer today, which was one of my big worries, but I am lucky that I don't have to re-wire anything and it all seems to fit really well where I put it.. I'll have to post pics up as I progress.

Want to sell a matching copy of those braided brake lines? They look really good.

Nice looking engine bay!! I'm actually not trying to hide my A/C lines, I'm trying to mix things up between factory looking and custom, proving to be a juggling act. lol..

Thanks for the compliments,, Hopefully some more pics in a day or two, things are starting to come together.

You did yourself a favor, they would have leaked anyway if you didn't do that. :D

If it's the A/C line- oops maybe. If it's engine oil cooler or power steering- you want to replace them any way. Dealer wanted $250 just for the 2 ends fittings on the power steering line coming out of the pump. They (dealer) sold me a new hose but never told me I needed the ends to replace it. I just bought the power steering set from JTSV performance. Cost me $260 for both pressure lines (pump to fan & fan to rack) with priority shipping. They give you a lifetime warranty. With your skills should be able to build your own. You probably could make a piece of garden hose look good!

ROFLMAO on that last comment, It's the oil cooler line and from the way it sounds everybody has problems with them so I guess I'll have to do another upgrade.. lol..

Should be seeing a lot of progress on this one in the next month.. Stay tuned.. :)

I'm upgrading to a jmb fan with new lines so that part is also taken care of..

Am I missing anything else that I should be doing?
Reliability is key on this one.. Right after it's finished I'm driving to PA for a show.. what a way to find any kinks..

I read a few threads about the stock (SRT only) power steering pump putting out to much pressure when the hydro fan is bypassed. Guess it would give us some kind of groaning noise. I would think you replace it with the stock pump off any other Ram. Justin from JMB should be able to help you out if you call or email. He got right back to me to answer my questions.

You can not use a stock ram pump but I am trying to make a gen 4 viper pump work which is designed to use a electric fan good luck

My fan also made a loud noise on start up but it is pretty beat up, most of the mount points to the fan are broken.. over all it's in horrible shape, whoever re-built this truck before didn't want to spend the price for the new fan.

We'll this would be a good time to do it then. Haveing troubles with my fan also. Only seems to work on low. The shop said it looks like the ECM is not turning it on high especially with the A/C on. You would think it should be on high with the compressor running.

Your shop does not know crap about vipers take to someone else

If it were only that EZ! No shops in my area are viper experts. Mutch like most things (cars,trucks,4X4's,H-D&other bikes) in my life that I end up working on or with I must become the expert on it. I'm ok with that! I'm always willing to learn from somebody knowledgeable. The problem is weeding out the nubs that don't know anything.
Sorry about side steppn your thread.

You have an AMAZING build going on!! Looks very well made, I would like to go air ride some day, what would it cost a guy (aprox) to four link the rear, c-notch the frame and the control arms and mounts up front???

I would have to sit down and add everything up but their are a lot of variables, for instance I went with a nice air control system, that alone was like $1800.00 add compressors tank and all the suspension parts.. I'm sure I have 5k into all of that, also have to get a fuel cell as it's lower than the frame.

:rock::rock::rock:

so ya moved the axle forward???

is the ride height goin to be when the Watt's link rods are parrallel to the ground???
