B&B complete exhaust - a warning to all !

Although some did like the flanges better than a slip (including me, which is why it was built that way in the first place) , we had many leaking and fit issues with them. The clamp is an OE style clamp and has worked very well, and we have not had any problems.

i wouldn't dispute that if they feel the need to change from flange to slip for "whatever the reason", they should tell folks up front & change what they offer on the website !!!!
i purchased their very expensive system for the flanges..... i didn't get them & billy boat doesn't care !!!

I talked with Gary over at B&B, he treated me great.

At first my HF mids came without flanges, I told them "on your website it says BOLT-ON" I paid friggen $800 bucks for them, there was no way I was going to have someone weld flanges.

I also ordered through BOOMER, which also helps. Gary would have reamed them a new asshole if I didnt get what I ordered, which is why he's the man!

I love my B@B exhaust with no WELDED flanges, if in the futher i want to change my system i can , with a wrench instead of a TORCH. Billy Boat makes a very nice system.

look out for bnb. always horror stories not just from us but others. bought used gibson headers for 300 and mopar cat back for 700 , fit fffin perfect and sounds awesome.

So let me understand this.. Bill, the main guy at B&B, emailed nycstev personally
to tell him that he liked flanges but that a slip joint was necessary to stop
exhaust leak.. so let me ask you this king daddy. Do you get exhaust leak
from your slip joint mid pipes? ... i spesfically wanted the flanges so i didn't
get any exhaust leak... i don't like the idea of permanently welding in the
catless pipes due to emissions standards in VA... let alone the new rise in
traffic violation prices.......

let me know,

No shit, your new fines made the national news!!!

This BB fubar is not good for sales of their products.......It will be mentioned in every exhaust thread from here on out. They need to figure out what they are selling and stick to it........either flanges or not.

personally, i think b&b stopped making the flange setup for 2 reasons:
1 - custom making a full exhaust with flanges that line up perfectly is time comsuming (which apparently they haven't been doing well) & hard to do, thus expensive....
2 - they've found they make more money on selling the easier to make slip joint/clamp versions (like everyone else) & saying it's "an improvement"....... whatever......:(

Can you file a dispute with the credit card company ? Or is it too late for that ? That would be the first thing to check into.Really sucks that some people will do anything to get a sale and then nothing to help you out when things go wrong."Not our fault, sorry bud, tough luck,or yea we'll take it back for 20% re-stock fee." Really, really sucks !

The flanges were one of the only reasons I would pay that outrageous price they want for them.

The restock fee is what trips me up man.. honestly is there product so bad that
they have to charge you 20% to put it back on there shelves :dontknow:
I'm seriously considering trying to find someone weither it be RPM or Baynes
in Winchester to do a nice setup for my exhaust.. the slip joints i have now
are seriously killing me.. sounds like a little putt putt when i dip below 750 RPMs
when i engage...

to moparracing, What suprises me the most is that B&B, the respected company
that they are/were, would actually swap fit and finish with time.. i mean you
wait a damn good 3 1/2 weeks to get something you might aswell have it done
right ya know :D

6 weeks wait for a B&B "custom"

Welp, It took six weeks for me to get my "custom" headers and exhaust "custom designed to my truck". I was told it was a bolt on mod. My install guy said he spent like 10 hours to get em on as the were 1/8 of an inch off on the custom made headers, the rest "was a mess" as he had to install them from tips forward to get em to fit. They were NOT customed to my truck, they had the clamp system instead of the advertised flanged system, and still had to take a prybar to em after 3k+ of cost. The reason I got these were they were recommended as a proved hp increaser and they were "bolt on". Cost me like $500.00 to get the "bolt ons" to work. Now once they're on...they sound wicked and look great, but I could've saved a lot of money by going with others that were not so "bolt on"

Just letting you guys know..."let the buyer beware"

I don't know if it's very visible or not but it's basically the ends of the pipes
and how they bolt up.. flanges use bolts, slip joints just use clamps :)
