B&B complete exhaust - a warning to all !

The restock fee is what trips me up man.. honestly is there product so bad that
they have to charge you 20% to put it back on there shelves :dontknow:

to moparracing, What suprises me the most is that B&B, the respected company
that they are/were, would actually swap fit and finish with time.. i mean you
wait a damn good 3 1/2 weeks to get something you might aswell have it done
right ya know :D

Sharpi
that restocking fee is retarded....... if i bought something & decided i didn't want it, then a restocking fee would be in order........
that's not the case here: they changed their design after i ordered it & didn't bother to tell me or even change their website (Roe has blame here too & they're not saying a word) !!!!!

This is a hose job. I would start the disbute with your credit card company. Roe should step and take it back with no fee. Its still brand new and was not installed.

patrick

good call patrick. however, what midpipes could you get other than the B&B's
that would fit the B&B's long tube headers and match up to a magnaflow with
minor welding?

Good Morning Gentlemen,

While I haven't taken the time to read every reply here, allow me to offer my perspective.

#1. B&B had been receiving complaints of exhaust leaks at the flange connections of the cat back. Their flanges were a two bolt flange and apparently, enough crush and flex would occur that the gasket would get pushed apart. Therefore, they changed the design to a standard slip fit in order to eliminate the leaks. Furthermore, the flange style did not allow for adjustments to length of the system. My perspective, I’m glad I’m not the manufacturer as people complain one design or another.

#2, Clearly, the person who purchased this product had an objective to be able bolt in / unbolt pipes. My perspective, the individual should have made one of his primary concerns known to the company he was purchasing from so they could help him make an informed decision.

A couple other notes:
Other than an e-mail from the buyer saying “he wasn’t happy”, I don’t think we were contacted about how to help solve the problem. A three bolt header flange kit could easily be installed (requires welding of course) to alleviate this issue.

I also find it both amusing and frustrating to see how people can speculate about a manufacturers motives, a company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and service without knowing all sides of the story. That’s one thing that’s very unique and disturbing about the internet. If you guys ever want straight answers, contact me by e-mail as I rarely get on internet forums. You can e-mail me at [email protected]

Contact Sean or Dave @ Roe..not by Email, but by phone; I'm sure there is something that can be done to help.

Your post came across as if you tried to work with them and they blew you off (at least that's what I and a few others got out of it), which is not the case.

Good Luck!

You are clearly a stand up guy from your response however as noted by the bold print in your post above, I don't think he was aware of the new design changes therefore he wouldn't have asked about his primary concerns since it is advertised with the flanges.

If I was a manufacturer that suddenly made a design change for whatever reason I would feel that it would be my responsibility to inform the buyers before they purchased my product. I would also feel obligated to change the advertising pictures and text so there would be no confusion as to what you are buying.

It is not the buyers responsibility to ask about design changes.

Just my .02

B&B Clamp didn't hold.

In March, I had Bassani Headers installed with B&B the rest of the way back. This last w/e, I slowly pulled away from a light and the whole truck shook... found one of the B&B mid-pipe "slip in's" had slipped out and the clamp was still tight. Set off about 10 car alarms at 5AM limping into work....sorry. Went to a local mechanic to have it reattached. Now I wish I had the flanges.

i find it interesting that it seems to somehow be my resposibility to know that the vendor & or distributor of a product make or know of changes to an extremely expensive exhaust system & don't let the customer know ahead of time or bother still to change their website !!!!!
