280 miles (round trip) and 10 hours later I am back from the track....

as with all things racing...It took some time to figure things out...I just couldn't get my new Hoosiers to 60'.....ran 1.75 - 1.85....then on the last run a 1.68....finnally...by then my NOS ran out in 3rd gear...:D...just the way things go....but at least I figured these tires out....

worst run 11.09.....best run 10.92 AT 129.90 MPH with a 1.75 60'..damn...

Gotta say the crowd really enjoys watching these big ass 4 doors run....even the guy in the tower was telling the crowd to bet on the SRT during my 3rd run against a pro-street nova....I cut a .017 light and beat him by .220....:D

BTW...disconnected the front sway bar and it didn't do anything for me...I think the QC is just too long....:dontknow:

1 other SRT was there...Gave him this addy...hope he shows up....

Super Tank is my hero..........

130 MPH

Now that, is just unreal in a 4 dr grocery grocery getter.

Your program is coming together so well. With some good air you will have some 10.50-10.60's coming up soon.

It is such a pleasure to see how far you have progressed in just a few years.
You are running faster in the 1/8 than you did in the 1/4 when you started racing.

Great reaction times for a foot brake car.

And at the hottest time of the year. You should be shattering those times come November.

Have you put in a cage? Or do they not tech that closely? Congrats on the mph, she ought to roll in November.

Nice kill against the Nova.....that'll keep you coming back!! It def takes seat time to figure these trucks out on the starting line....specially when switching tires and tracks! Can't wait to see you run some day.

Awesome Mike, it takes some serious power to run 130MPH in a 6000# brick!!

Thanx everyone...and they really are bricks...Thank goodness...

The "brickness" saved my ass last night....my 11.09 run was my first and I have never come so close to losing the truck at the track...I was talking to Fstjack about it at 3:30am today and I started sweating just thinking about it..

On the run I ramped the NOS in much more agressively trying to get a better ET...when the the truck shifted to 2nd and the NOS hit the truck went hard left...well with the front sway bar off, bias plys on the back and huge radials on the front, and a lot of ego that would not let me lift on the throttle...I zigged zag the truck for 500 yards...I could have swore it was going to snap around on me....Guys in the pits actually asked me if I was cool....must have lost the color in my face...:( ....anyway...it got my attention and reminded me that we are not messing around anymore....If I was driving a lighter or shorter car....I would have been done and done....

Part of the learning curve with a performance vehicle is knowing when to lift Mike. Your truck is no longer a vehicle that anyone with half a brain can just jump into, stab the gas and aim it towards the end of the track.

I'm sure that Jack has already given you very good advice. Take heed, and you will be fine.

I would however recommend that you get a cage in that beast soon.

Could be wrong on this, but I think you either have it, or you're damn close.:D

I wasn't able to make it this time. The truck is going to the dealer Monday for tansmission problems and a bad pinion bearing (Makes loud noise like a bad manual gearbox).

If its ready by Friday Aug 10, I'm going to Famosa for the Friday Night T&T. If you're going maybe I could catch a ride with you to the dealer on the way to Bakersfield.:dontknow: It's at Roberts old dealership.
