BFGoodrich KDWs...mounted for your pleasure

I love the look and dimension of the KDWs... They really are great tires...

I was led to believe (I believe it was by Dan Cragin when I was at DC) that they don't wear very long because they're nice and soft. So, for someone with unlimited bucks to spend on tires, they'd be great. But, I'm not in that category, so I'm considering other options. But honestly, I would buy these tires if I had a lotta money.

I'm leaning towards the General UHPs or the Kumhos next time out... I'm hoping for less bumpsteer out of them...

Had those badd boyz on my '75 D200 Crew Cab,gots to be the most awesomest tread pattern out there !!!Ended up going with the Nitto 420S' because of the tread wear life !!!KDW's were only a 300 rating while the Nittos were 420 !!!

D- you're correct.
On the track, those BFG's will be AWESOME.
On the street, they will wear faster than Paul Rubens on your nerves.

CarDude, do you also clean wheels on site ? man, you should do mine....

Thanks Barry...truck and wheels look extremely well for having to live outside for a full year. Thankfully she is back in the garage, and I can once again obsess over the paint.

I usually reach in as far as I can when I wash the wheels...I also use simple green and a nylon wire brush. The wheels have held up way better than the calipers...I think I need to repaint them this winter.

Anyone else had good results with repainting calipers?

Justin (JMB) should do a caliper swap with re-powdercoating. That would be sweet for those who want their calipers to match their paint.

UTQG Treadwear ratings are not universal. The can not be compared across brands. Also, a tire that has a 500 would last 5 times as long as a tire that has a 100 rating.
