were you ever in dansville,N.Y. for either First Wind or GE transporting wind tower sections or blades? (Transgroup)

i was on one of the kobelco crawler cranes there.

think i delivered the base section for that crane.

this past two weeks have been long...
took a load to NC, then picked one up in SC to NJ
now i am doing a super load from buffalo to pittsburg.
this is crazy i typically dont have this many good jobs at one time.

I thought they had to cover the blades up in order to keep the truck from tipping over in a stiff wind. :dontknow:

Sure is cool to see those big suckers going down the road though.

yea you would think so , wind is always blowin like a bitch here ... pics taken rite outside hotel where im stayin in snyder , tx about an hour south of lubbock

blades dont pay enough. they want to pay me 1.20 a mile, no overnights, no-go's, down time. literally you could make $1.20 for a days work if the truck breaks down 1 mile down a road. in contrast my minimum is $375. plus another 65 for the night. i could strangle every escort that runs that cheep.

every once in a while a full price company comes along. then i do wind.

how can you haul that cheap? we are getting close to $2.50 a mile for produce right now and dont have to deal with any of the wide load BS.
