Just wanna know how many of the members on here would be interested in a billet flex plate for the qc or rc 48re conversions. The stock flex plates are inadequate for our trucks and found someone willing to produce a billet flex plate if enough are interested. Probrably cost around 500 but not for sure.

are they going to be the sam weight or maybe lighter? Let us know.....I wouldn't mind doing one when i do a convertor.....

Sounds like something I would want to have, keep me posted and I'll take one.

My next upgrade was going to be torque converter so that would be a good time to do the billet flex plate at the same time.

Well don't think it will be lighter but if u go with Tonys torque converter it will be a wash as far as weight I would think. The guy who's able to make them wants a rough count to know if it will be cost effective for him to make

How many people here have cracked theirs? Are they really that weak, or Harold was yours a bolt torque issue?

I'm just curious. Also, would these be SFI approved, with sticker and all?

its what connects your transmission to the block or engine, the converter mounts to the flex plate, and that transfers the power from the engine to the trans

I know I've personally trashed mine and have heard of others doing it. Gonna be keeping in touch with the person who can fabricate them and keep u all tuned in. Have to email him pics and clearances of mine bolted onto the back of the motor.

Keep us posted. This and a one piece drive shaft would be great mods.

What measurements do you need? Maybe I can get them over the weekend.

I'll call them tomorrow, thanks too Jack, but let me call them tomorrow blackviper and find out exactly what numbers is needed, i got a national company 40 minutes away that does most of the nations drag cars and such on this end, I think they can even do carbon driveshafts also

that would be great stinker...hopefully they will be affordable cause i need new u-joints but would rather just replace it with a one piece!
