Black headlight and taillight options

Spent the last hour searching here but I still want some other ideas.

This is my current set up...

Im ok with the front covers but Im sure some A-hole will steal them someday so I will probably order a set of the after market black headlights.

The rear lights are OK but I really want something darker. I still have the stock lights also. Im not too concerned about the law so if its a permanent tint then thats OK. I was thinkin about covers that match the front or these adhesive covers..

If I remember correctly ,,,some a while ago posted ones that they tinted themslves ---they looked great ---maybe they will chime in or you can do a search....

During my search, I found a thread where someone tinted theirs with the Viper and SRT10 logos showing.. It looked sick! I would definitely be interested in that but I dont think I would be able to do it myself.

Thats exactly what Im going for. The cut out for the reverse lights would be nice also since my windows will eventually be too dark to see anything out of. Did you send them to someone or have a local shop do them?

I have the same taillights as you brokenarrow, but I spray tinted mine with vht. I love the way they turned out, but I did see the ones with the viper logo and it was sick!!!!

I went to a local shop, he hit it up with about 3 coats of black and 1 clear coat. and cut out the reverse but atleast you have a BLACK TRUCK and not yellow or that slow ass silver. make sure you put your pix in the Black truck thread only

slow91 did a smoke tint on my tail lights. They were painted and sanded and painted again before clear coating.

100% agree. VHT Nite Shades Spray kicks ass. :rock: I use it on all my vehicles (apart from the E-Bodies) and it's tough, easy to put on and looks professional. Mask up, clean and spray to suit. Around 5-7 coats seems to do the trick. The best part is at night the light still shines though like 90% original. First thing I would do is get ride of the rear rice lights.......never understood people who put them on anything other than Hondas or Altezzas, they cheapen cars.

I have the same lights as him but I figured that if I am going to tint my tails I wanted to make sure that the light comes through. Since these are LED's they shine through great! :rock:

I already have fangs on my center caps. Just don't have them painted

I'm the one with the Viper logo and SRT10 on the tinted tail lights. I can do them for you, but it's so frigg'n easy to do, I'm sure you could do them yourself. Total time spent on mine was about 4 hours. I can tell you exactly how to do it step by step if you want.

Hey Paul,

You should wet sand your tails with 1000 grit and then 2000 grit. Then put some 3m rubbing compound and polish them up with a Mother's power ball. They will be nice a glossy.[
