I had a tire delaminate on my other truck on the way to work this morning. Fun at 100km/h in rush hour.:(

I was just motoring along during the morning commute. I started to hear a noise, I thought the rear gear was packing it in. I slowed down and she let go. I stopped in a left hand turn lane and called the auto club. Buddy said he had never seen a tire go like this. They have about 30k on them.

I've see a few tires go like that...usually from miles at highway speed with low tire pressure???

Pressure was good. I checked them not long ago. I haven't had a chance to see if there is a puncture in the tread. I don't remember driving over any debris. It took a hundred yards or so to stop on the six lane I was on.

How old are they oldcolt? Date stamped in oval on tire in picture but can't zoom enough clearly. Thankfully you and truck are unharmed. I had a Cooper go the same way and it wasn't under inflated. Luckily it was a rear tire for me.

My truck is 3 years old with 30k on it.

Sorry to hear about your mishap, but I learn something new each day.

I was under the assumption that countries where people went "motoring" at "100km/h" (62 mph to us Yanks?) were devoid of such tragedies as "rush hour."

At least you're okay!

Just found out there is no tire warranty. I am the second owner of the truck.

It does have TPMS. With the recent flooding, there is a lot of crap on the roads. I must have run over something sharp.

that really sucks, glad nothing too bad happened.
