Got me thinking...with my new engine turning over in the next 48 hours...whats the best break in oil...ive heard good things about the new RP break in...what do yall think?

just make sure you hire a platoon of umpaloompas to give you a hand...hahaha

I use just any cheap oil to start up and warm up. Then i do an oil change and use royal purple brake in oil, run it on our dyno for about an hour running the rpms up and down then we do an oil change with good oil. From there we have the customers bring the car back after about 500 miles for another oil change and inspection.

Joe Gibbs was used in mine too and still using, just switched into the XP6 I think it is, excellent oil, and yeah no cats!

I broke in with Joe Gibbs Break In Oil and now running Joe Gibbs Hot Rod Oil (fully synthetic 15w-50). They have a good web site that explains all of their products. Really good products initially developed specifically for NASCAR engines. Exact same stuff used by many NASCAR teams.
