Congrats! Can anyone help with the shave kit on that truck? I asked a few pages ago but nothing. Surely this can't be the only shaved handle rear truck on this forum? I just want to know how it works and if the 06 can have them.

I think you can find your info at Stylin Concepts !! All it is is a plate to block off where the hanle was and it puts the handle on the inside of the tailgate,then it's just a matter of bodywork to smooth and paint to match !!:dontknow:

All I can say about is that the job is very clean. May be worth hooking up with Derek's guy.
I do need to find a hidden antenna for a radio though. He had that shaved and I believe they make a radio antenna that is concealed

Thanks. That's why I asked, how does he get into his cargo area? The 04/05s must be different, it's the only explanation. My truck is an 06 and you have to lower the tailgate first to get to the handle on underneath the tonneau cover to open the tonneau itself. With how his is, it just wouldn't work on the 06 models unless you can put your hand through the tonneau cover lol Unless I'm missing something which is why I posted. :dontknow:

THe kit is from SirMichaels They make roll pans and other stuff for trucks. As far as the body work goes, it can be a bit of a pain. My body guy welded in the plate then several months after I could see the weld line. This is rather common and the best way to avoid thi9s is to get the tailgate shaved and give it a month or so before you paint it! Perhaps a winter project.

James, google "hidden antenna", you'll get tones of options. THere very easy to install, just jack up the truck, pull the passenger side wheel, then inner fender and presto, everything you need will be right in view. I would attach the antenna inside the fender to the metal with some double sided tape, maybe some 3M stuff used to attach emblems! Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm glad she went to a good home!! Now that I'm back in CT, I'm really starting to miss the 10! Its been perfect weather since I got back yesterday. Hardly a cloud in the sky and low humidity!!
