cam builds

PS- You guys aren't seriously considering comparing a race between a 700 horsepower truck and a 3000+ horsepower (Dom's) truck....are you ???

Happy New Year to All !!!

I would beat the Turbo truck easy....he sits on the line for about 3 seconds building boost....so add that to the 9.09 and you have an ET of 12.09,......which I can beat easy!:D

I smell wood burning in 13!!! Lets set the bar high. Jerry will be coming to get his. Dom will try for the NA title but will win the FI title. Some will think 13 sec rides are fast and the rest will call JMB!!!!!

This is a little off topic but im sure someone can answer it. If your gonna do a heads and cam package with a shot of nitrous and are around 700 hp do you have to upgrade your fuel system? Or will the stock one be alright.

I believe more air and more fuel would take more injector. So you would need more fuel. But I think the stock injectors would be fine if its a wet shot. And I think the fuel pump might be close to the max. Not 100% sure though.

Well this got sidetracked! lol.

To benefit fully from a h/c combo I would imagine I need exhaust+cai? If so do I Just need headers? cat delete? x, h? Since I'm down here in C. America I don't have to meet any emission standards. :D

Oh and down here we have CRAPPY fuel. I mean CRAPPY. I think it's like 88 octane is the best we get. Torrie at unleashed sent me an sct and I had to use the low-mid octane tune and the car runs 10x better. In my camaro I didn't really experience any problems when I was bolt on/cam but my tuner knew exactly what I was dealing with in terms of octane and I had the ability to data log with the SCT.... something I noticed you can't do in a dodge.

I run a stock air box with my Striker Heads & Cam. I have MOPAR Longtubes, catless mids and Borla exhaust. Ronnie runs his stockish manifolds with cats and a B&B cat back. Ronnie also runs a stock air box. Other than bling/sound there is no real gain to be had with a CAI.

And how do you guys deal with tuning?

Is there any way to datalog? I know it took a few tweaks on the camaro when I was n/a with a cam.

We can data log and send the info to Chris Jensen. We actually had Chris come to Calgary to tune 8 trucks last spring. Nothing beats having the tuner at the dyno.:)

What program/tuner do you need to data log?
I know sct doesn't offer any datalogging and being out of the US I really don't have any custom tuners.
