CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

Have your hand on the key in case it has been talking to your Dakota in private.

It only takes ONE 360 degree engine rotation for the 8.3L to fire on 5 cylinders, so bad news can happen fast.
Well in that case I’ll just do the Sea foam neighborhood fogging and mesquito control

Yeah , I noticed the difference after some little shits stole my Fang valve stem caps and others around the neighborhood.. The little turds got caught by a neighbor and consecrated the bikes and Mae their dad come get them .. I never got my caps back as the kids said they don’t have them , lying little turds and their dad should have beat their asses and bought me a new set .. The dad was a worthless type and didn’t do a damn thing ..
Maybe a liberal dose of Krazy Glue on the next set of Fang Caps with a sign: "FREE" pointing to them. Might work...

Oh damn it ,, Just tried it on the 10 and wow what an explosion Shrapnel everywhere, neighbor windows shattered

Oh wow .. it was just the mufflers that exploded .. the fire dept got here fast from across the street and verified it was the mufflers and not the engine ..

Finally got around to changing the oil, got tied up last weekend with other chores so I didn’t get to it. Changed the oil on the bike as well…. Used a K&N on it as well as the truck. Not sure about them. Both looked like the O ring was seeping, more so on the bike. See how the car quest filter holds up. Got the AB viper filter for the truck. 10.5 Qts. Looking at the location a taller filter will not fit it’s directly above the sway bar, not without a filter relocation kit. But the CAT filter is a direct replacement if anyone is wondering haha chalk it up with the other 99 filters that will work. Finally figured out the oil separator…. Full of moisture with a little bit of oil that was gelled. Took it off and cleaned it, washed out the steel wool media with brake clean and dabbled a little ATF on it to keep it from rusting. Be cleaning that every oil change or every few months until I figure out how much it collects over time. Not seeing it full of oil is a good thing though, but full of water not so much…. Also don’t know the last time it was cleaned. I did notice a threaded plug in the bottom, not sure if I should try to plumb a return line on it to drain back in the crank case or just leave it be. Besides the oil being completely black it looked and smelled normal. Put 10W30 in it, might drain it in a few months and go with 15W40. I might have some 0W50 Amsoil signature series oil left over that I might start using from my Exs GT500…. Justifying $200+ on oil though lol. It was $140 I think for a case 7 years ago. Might just use Mobil 1 0W50 instead.
