Catch Can question

the oil can only get into the intake if the valve seals are leaking, but then the intake air pressure should suck it into the combustion chamber and burn it. There should be no oil in the intake.

above statement is not true on a viper engine buddy, the oil can make it into the inake on a viper there is no pvc system acctually set up , a catch can is a good choice on a viper engine

What is the answer for post #39?

If you have enough pressure that you are blowing caps off of things you have major problems. You have one of 3 problems.

1. Massive blow-by (requires engine rebuild)

2. Plugged crankcase evacuation system (anything from the ports in the valve covers, fittings, lines, to the catch can, etc)

3. Missing baffles inside the valve covers from someone previously modifying something.

You dont need a PCV, you need to find the cause of the problem rather than try to mask it with something like a PCV. Remove your catch can hoses and see if you can blow through them. If you can then remove your valve covers and see if the baffles are in place. If they are then do a leak down test and see where the leak is.

He us miising the baffles he is runnn strykers with aftermarket rocker which u loose the splash guard i am gonna try to make him a guard to keep the oil from kikin out the ports

He is missing the baffles because he is running stryker brand after-market heads with after-market rocker arms which require removal of the splash guards in the valve covers. I am gonna try to make him a guard to keep the oil from spurting out the ports...

Them misspells is caused by Tony's big toes....above is what he tried to say...and is quite correct...;)

Here is a break down pretty sure after market as well

LOLOL sorry was on the iphone hehehehe big fat fingers, what I "think" was happening with his is for one he had no way for the pressure to release in his system hence the cap explosion,
next is the oil blew everywhere cuz of the no baffle due to the aftermarket rockers,

am I on the right track sims?

Very true.
Their is a plate on the passenger side of the valve cover though
