I have 2006 SRT 10 short bed. I would like members experience and advice in switching out the factory exhaust. What reccommended brands? should I include a new header? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

The 06 cat back will need new brakets welded on. This I believe holds true for most, if not all of them. My magnablow and B&B both needed brackets welded.
As for brands.... depends on what your wallet will allow.
For me B&B was the move I made. Sounds great.

I had the Magnaflow and took it off. Now I have the Mopar exhaust, made by Borla. It's designed for the '06, so no extra brackets needed. :)

Ditto for my 06 RC, no additional brackets were needed for the Mopar/Borla but in my case the clamps used to connect all the piping connections together were ditched for welding...no more leaks.

I have the Magnaflow cat-back. No issues with the kit. I like the sound!! I hope I can get my MOPAR long-tubes and catless mids on this week. The Borla set up sounds great too!!

Billy Boat from headers to tips here - DEEPEST exhaust system around, bar none. ;) Not loud loud but audible and at WOT just a dream. I have cutouts so loud isn't an issue and I've never purchased exhausts so I can be "the loudest" LOL, not into that stuff. Quality, sound & performance should be the goals IMO.

I've had the stock set up, magnaflow with catless mids, and the powersticks. I am now changing over to the B&B system. It is the most expensive, but you'll never need to deal with the exhaust again if you use the B&B.

Good luck.

Hey Sailor if you are a NAVY man you can come over to the house and I'll give you a MBRP exhaust....... I live near Conroe. The choice is yo's me friend

832-363-7139, i just got back from trinidad and i'm supposed to go out to the gulf on thrusday but i got no orders as of yet....

My truck came with the Mopar/Borla muffler but it didn't seem loud enough to me. I ran powersticks in with everything else stock and it sounded good to me. Then I bought some Gibson headers off of Noid on here, and the truck sounded really good, BUT I have always wondered what it would have sounded like if I had left the Borla in there, and added the headers. I can always go back to the Borla since my buddy still has it laying around, and I'm sure he'd give it right back if I wanted to, but don't know if I want to go through the hassle. We'll see.
