Greetings All!

I am Magic, I am brand new to the club, as well as a brand new owner!

I live in Arizona, The Phoenix area, and need some help finding someone to install a Clear Bra before my daily driver starts to become too sand blasted.
Need to wrap my snake for protection so's i don't catch anything.

On another topic... Boomer hooked me up with a Magna Flow, but I need someone to install. The 06 QC has different frame rails, so the mounting points are different.

Any help would be appreciated.

welcome Magic, just moved here...PM and I will get you a name for the install. cople of good guys down here!!!! We should do a GTG

Had a bra on my Porsch...loved the burgundy metallic paint job...thought the bra would protect it....at speed the bra would vibrate and ended up wearing the clear-coat and some of the paint off to bear metal...I think the same would occur in your situation...especially if sand were to be caught in the bra material...be careful...

Welcome, you are family from post #1.

gone are the days of ugly black leather bras. I believe he's talking about a spray on or adhesive type clear film.

Yes.. the 06's are NOT a direct fit for the cat-back... I had to have hangers welded on mine to mate up to 2 more of the OEM locations, so I have a total of 4 of them, any exhaust shop should be able to do that for you.. dunno what they will charge, mine was free because I am friends with the owner of a fabrication shop, and we did some "trading".

I am right here in the area also.

Welcome! .... And, I think you got the prettiest color! (Besides BLACK, of course. ;) :D )

By the looks of you first post, I think you are goin' to fit in PERFECT around here! :star:

The clear-bra is a great way to go. I think you will be able to find a dealer in your area quite readily. :) I'm goin to do the same, when I get my bumper repainted.

Yup Prof is correct the old style bras that come to mind are a paint nightmare. There are several options but I can not say I am familiar first hand with any of them ,just the fact they are out there. There are 2 forms of sprayable the first being the anti-scratch clears ,second is a clear aftermarket coating they are sprayin on the fronts of trucks ,busses and motorhomes and it is just a coating not a paint ,third is clear film they wrap the front with but I think the front of this truck would be just crazy to try to wrap in a film.
I know what you mean on the sandblasting tho I grew up in W.Texas and all that was required to strip a car was just leave her out during too many sand storms . I do think the new paint materials tend to wear better than the old enamals.
I just have a problem using stuff I am not familiar with and spoiled on the paint stuff , I mean for me to get a paint job all I have to do is buy some materials and tell my painter if he paints it he can take it home for the weekend ROFLMAO . Let him drive it 10 miles when we picked up a car ,he's been drouling ever since and I trust him since he knows my tractor does quik jobs of grave digging and those other mounds out back make him nervouse, heheheheh<G>:dontknow:

PS Welcome to the asylum

Thanks for all the info!

I have been having connection problems, hence the slow response, or may it's just me. Had to buy a fast truck to compensate. I thought I'd try to beat the someone to the punch there.

I'll check out rockblocker, thanks bucke77. I did solve the Magna Flow problem... just got out the saws all and running open.

A couple people have tried Armor Coat applied and liked it as far as I heard

My wifes Infiniti FX 35 had the 3M Clear Bra on it. Great stuff. I checked into it for the truck but the installer said that it would take multiple pieces and that the seams would show.

I decided to pass and have not had any rock chips in the it so far.
