I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a clear oily liquid leaking from in the engine bay area? It's not tranny fluid cause( it's red), it's not engine oil ( it's brown)and it's not power steering fluid ( it's also red). I'm gonna jack it up today to see were it's coming from. it's either brake fluid or someone told me that in the air conditioner lines have oil in them. I didn"t know if anyone else has came across this before?:dontknow: :dontknow:

clear oily liquid sounds like it can only be refrigerant bro...check your A/C lines....I bet thats what it is....

I agree with you,check the A/C lines.

.

Looked all over under the truck and didn't find any clear oil coming from anywhere, but i did find a power steering line leaking.:( :( :(

well you know thats a easy fix by just calling Tony!! but as far as the cler oily leak the best fix would be for me to come there swap motors with you so you'lll be leak free and you wont have spots in your driveway...Just because i'm so nice of a guy:D

But on a serious note, your tracking all the different ype of fluids in that area.....so if you are indead leaking a clear oily fluid.....the only thing that matches the description is refrigerant (spelling:dontknow: !) so just keep looking....at worse case these only so much so if to much leaks out your a/c just won't be cold anymore and that will tell you quick.....Keep looking, crawl under neath if you have to...

are you sure its not A/C condesation? What part of the engine bay is it leaking at?

.

Looking under the truck from the front it looks like it coming from the right side of the radiator. Around were the A/C lines are. I'm gonna look again tonight after work to see if i can find were it's coming from. The only thing is that it don't leak all the time,so that makes it harder to find. I think it's coming from the A/C myself, but hadn't had any problems with it blowing cold air.

yea it will continue to blow cold until too much leaks out.....Just check it out, tighten lines or inspect to ensure they arent cracked or anthing...once it's not leaking leave it alone unless your a/c stops getting as cold...If it does that just recharge it....Job done...
