crank shaft pully wobble?

NO! TIGHTEN IMMEDIATELY!there have been some folks who have had the pulley score the crank! this is problematic with 04s' it seems. re-torque with blu-loctite. (mine was finger tight!)

It's not just the 04's. I had mine checked and it was loose, tech replaced it.

Theres a TSB on it, make sure it did not damage the crank or pulley itself. DO NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL IT IS FIXED!!!!!!!

Major issue...please follow the advice above...do not even start it...until you crawl under it and tighten...

ive actually had to replace mine on both of the viper truck...(my current 05' and tims old one i bought...now owned by tsmith) very problematic with these trucks...they just fell off!

There is a solution...supercharge it...and you will have to pin the crank in the process!   :burnout:

what would dodge charge to do it?

i really dont see myself coming out of a job like that good.
frustration = damage for me. i have been known to saw holes in things, important things, to finish jobs. (ask my old newyorker with a hole above the fuel pump)

they would probaly charge 1 to 2 hours, depending on the shop.

Take it easy, do not operate the truck. assertain torque specs and add the locktite..............THESE GUYS WILL WALK YOU THROUGH IT...:congrats:

:( just checked mine and of coarse it was finger tight.Time for blue loc tite and torque.looks like my oil lines are seeping a little after a closer look. For a race motor and an expensive truck it sure does seem like some pretty significant problems and that dodge should have been a little more particular in production of these few trucks.I guess im just a little mad because my 02 20,000 dollar hundai has had no issues:mad: with 80,000 miles and was MASS produced

I'll do it for about $`12,000.00 but it would include a supercharger install :D

i have bad news, your hundai that you paid 20k for is worth less then $1000 now.
and if your motor blows tomorrow you can part out the truck for more the you can sell it for i bet.
