Hi guys,
While I'm doing the engine I thought I would do some searching and have found a couple of places that can custom make pulleys to the same size/spec as OEM but in a toothed style for a belt drive style system (like Gilmer or Millerspeed). I've heard these belts offer more "push" at high rpm (not sure how true that is) but also give the engine a wicked (IMO) super charged sound, the old school BELT sound. I personally like that sound and think it'd be cool. My question, is there any issues going from a "ribbed"? OEM pulley belt to a tooth style? Over spinning or anything like that? I have NO IDEA hence the reason I'm asking. All it is is ear candy (to me) no performance gains I can think of, just a unique sound. Not set on anything yet, will probably stick with the standard pulleys, but as always, I'm doing my research first.
