Did dodge screw up my engine?

So I've been having low horsepower problem since I got my truck. With the roe I am down about 75-100rwhp max I've made was 507. I started pulling the engine apart and seen no ridge and a nice crosshatch still visible, and decided to measure the bore see if anything has been done I double checked with 2 different tools and my bore on the passenger side is 4.018" +/- .002 :dontknow:

Had anyone ran into this?

Does this make any sense?

Was this a 2006 truck change cause I've seen a few dyno numbers that were really low compared to the 04-05.

When I get the short block pulled out and sent to the machine shop i will get this looked at to verify.

Your truck should have been 550-580rwhp easily with your mods on 5.6lb pulley:dontknow: My 04' put down 504 with no tune and not meth added.

I'm sure you've been pulling your hair trying to figure it out Hope you can get it figured out. I'd hate to see you spend 10k on an engine and put down 520rwhp

An 06 will pull as much HP as 04/05....My truck put down 680HP with a 10lb pulley and conservative tune..

I meant to say stock I know mine was low and so was Oldcolt's. But I know when they are built they are good Sean has built 2 the same setup I'm doing they both pulled 714/715rwhp and 755rwtq

I wish I had the answer. Mine just goes flat above 5200rpm. We are looking at a couple of things, hopefully we find the problem.

no i never did when i do i'll let you guys know but it's probably just the black ones that are a little low:hmmmm:

It ran good before hand, ran a best time of 13.9 stock here.


ust got the other head off today, Minor carbon buildup on pistons and combustion chambers no issues yet. Gonna get one more tool to measure just to verify the bores. Only # 1 & 3 measured 4.030 the rest were .012 smaller.

thats one reason we allways go at least a half overbore, alot of times we find them out fo round also, taking mine off in a minute, gotta eat this sammich first , larry and jr made me hungry
