Do you think this is a Yellow Fever?

Where do you find the build number? I would love to know on my two trucks but don’t know where to look. Can you give an example?
I'm sorry I don't recall but have you entered your VIN numbers into the registry to see if they're in there?

I tried searching but I'm not finding anything - TheVIN number gives the sequence number as it came off the assembly line (last 6 digits) but if you're wanting the breakdown/build number as in say 997 of 3057 - I'm thinking that can only be tracked down by Jeff since it drills down to the year and even the color code for that year.

Maybe PM Jeff. The worse that could happen would be a No and you're already there lol

Like she said, Jeff can figure out the build number but imo that number doesn't mean much.
I'm more concerned with the badge number of special editions in relation to the actual build date - dmh on door jamb decal.
We know that the Yellow Fevers were NOT built in dash number or vin numerical order.
In other words YF #1 wasn't first and YF #500 wasn't last

I went to the registry before (and now) and get a “Forbidden 403” error.

I know a really long time ago you could see the VIN numbers, but if I remember the VINs got removed, so I can’t even search now on the VINs if they are included now (or I may be messing it up).
I know Jeff was stepping away from the registry and I didn’t want to ask him since I know sometimes people need their space.

I just didn’t know how people were finding the build breakdown (your example: breakdown/build number as in say 997 of 3057”. I know the Registry shows some listed before, but how does Jeff do it? Is it just a secret, and no one else knows? If so, why is it a secret? It’s one of those cool things that would be interesting to know what my truck (or anybody’s truck) to know.

When I started this post I was really wanting to know about this Ram SRT-10 truck. Everything was just too weird for me, and I wanted to see what you guys thought. I kept researching it and found what number Yellow Fever it was. Thus, I wondered how Bad Azp knew the build number (not the #1 to #500 Yellow Fever number).

I don’t know !
But found this :

The information presented on these pages are through original research. The vast majority of the details presented are based on VIN, MDH and Equipment Lists.
Build Numbers for Special Editions are based on the information received from those that Register their RAM SRT-10’s and Vipers. From Sales Ad’s and various
other sources where owners or sellers have presented those numbers and the VIN is also listed. Build Numbers for non-Special Editions where RAM, Dodge, Chrysler
and FCA did NOT assign a number are based on the vehicles MDH and is not considered an Official Build number of RAM, Dodge, Chrysler or FCA. There are some
cases where we are using the VIN to do a Build Sequence. We know that’s not the way the vehicle came down the line, understand, that the information needed to
provide a correct sequence {the MDH} has become more difficult to obtain in recent years.

the last six numbers of the VIN are supposedly the number they come off the assembly line but I only know this from reading on how to decode a VIN number.

As for how Jeff works his registry magic I don't know. And yes it seems to be only Jeff that knows how to figure it out - I put my VIN in the registry and didn't come up with anything so I don't know if it's not working or if I'm doing something wrong.

In 2004 there were 3057 made per Jeffs research. My truck is 997/3057. Manufactured in February. Of that 3057 1040 are Flame Red.
Mine is Red. That information was provided by Jeff.

I saw Jeffs post that stated he is frustrated and stepping back. I'm hoping it's just temporary as he's been the Guru for 18 years and on the registry for 13 years.

I'm not sure how @Bad Azp Performance arrived at the information he has either, maybe he will chime in and enlighten us all!

Sorry I wish I could help more but other than the info on decoding a VIN and reading the registry info that Jeff has provided I'm lost too!

Hang in there your answers will come. Eventually!

I dont have overall build numbers, I have build info dmh, day month hour.
For yellow fevers only.
The vin does NOT mean it came down the line in that order. It doesn't make sense but that's the way it is.
In these pics you can see the last 6 of vin on left compared to dash badges and dmh built. Sometimes weeks and/or hundreds of vins different even based on dmh built.
Again, I only track the yellow fevers and it is the most updated YF information available

It didn't load pics

More info people can add and verify the better .. Especially to add to the central source THE REGISTRY !

Well he closed the registry several years ago so I bought all of the YF info he had so it wouldn't get lost. Now I've been adding to it for 4-5 yrs now so the YF source is me, I'll get a website eventually.

Thank you for this!!! It's difficult to find accurate information even on supposed accurate websites!!

Great to know at least the YFs are being kept up!

To complex for me!! I'm just glad for the years of hard work and dedication Jeff put in to get the info we do have or had however it works nowadays!

Didn’t know that ! Cool !

Just to make sure I understand, you are saying bought, not brought, correct? If so, you basically paid for the knowledge he put into his work for the Registry? Just trying to understand that part…

Sounds like he bought it - there were books - and it seems as though the special edition trucks
Books were done first. I know the 04 book isn't finished yet and May never get finished
