We have an investigator coming up friday the 29th hired by her attorney . He is coming out of atlanta. Maybe he can give us some answers.I wonder to why his 04 had side airbags and my 06 dont, does anybody know? Also I was looking through his truck papers the other night, and i discovered that his truck had been in at least 5 times with steering issues, has anyone here had any problems with their steering? His p/s pump had been replaced twice, the rack and pinion once, lines twice, some kind of flow valve once,some kind of fan module diagnosed as a no flow for the steering fluid.

the air bags did not deploy in my wreck either... when i hit a H post doing 70 side ways.... the impact was right in the middle of the driverside door..and right at the start of the bed.. the T post broke and flipedd onto the roof aswell.....that sucks man.. i'm sorry to hear about your friend this is my first time reading about this...

Side air bags were an option and not all trucks had them.

My Silver truck has them and the red one does not have side bags.

Yellow venom , seeing your truck brings back memories too. I had a yellow fever in 05. But a judge said it had to go. I got clocked by the gsp at 151. So i sold it. But she didnt say i couldnt have another one . So i bought the black 06.

I went to jail until the next morning , the judge was a woman, the fine was 5000.00, probation for 1 year on a restricted license where i could only drive to and from work. and last 72 hours to get rid of the truck.Or else lose my license for 5 years period.

Obviously you saw the loophole in the ruling by getting another. Be safe.

I had an issue with my 04's steering, in hard cornering the steering would bind a little. Turned out that the bolt thru the u-joint in the steering linkage was hitting the left side exhaust manifold. The temporary fix was to bend the heat shield in a little. The fix was to loosen the motor mounts and move the engine over to the right. That is what DC recommended to the dealer who fixed it. No problems since.
