Hey all, dyno'd the truck today and am a bit dissappointed. It made 450rwhp and 485rwtq. I had an '04 last year with the same mods and it made 472rwhp and 523rwtq. The a/f on the '04 was around 13:1 with the B&G stage II. My Roe Racing tune has the fuel set pretty dead nuts on 12:1 using their 93 Octane tune. Could the a/f ratio difference be why I'm down on power and is 13:1 safe?

TIA for the replies,
Jim

Looks good to me.
Like Marc T said, every truck is different and those are good numbers.
I run at 13:1 on my own truck.

Im pretty sure the difference is stemming from the 12:1 vs 13:1 a/f mixtures. I'll contact Roe and have them send me a 13:1 93 Octane tune and dyno it again.

If you were to dyno a truck with a 4.10 rear gear ('04's) and then change them out to 4.56 ('05-'06), the power will go down a couple percent due to the gear contact. On a Viper, going from a 3.07 to a 3.55 will drop 12-15 RWHP every time.
Also, the 13.1 to 13.9 AF you told me about is way too lean for my taste and doesn't take into account the additional colder / ram air the engine will see due to driving at speed. It will get leaner due to that and is why you can tune on a dyno, but you have to back it up with real world testing also.

The true test is 1/4 ile times, do you go to the track with your old truck? if so what did you run and run this one to compare.
Dynos are great for tuning but difficult for comparisons like you are making

I have had two identical 05's with identical mods on the same dyno. One dyno'd 18rwhp and 20ft lbs less than the other. I would guess there is at least a 40hp window on these engines coming from the factory.
