So, have scoured the threads looking for the perfect exhaust setup. And after all that reading I decided to give it a shot myself. This is what I cam up with..Since our V10's cannot seem to produce a low rumble that a V8 offers, I decided to stick with what works, First, I deleted the rear cats, and this is what really made the difference. Next, I pretty much hacked off all the stock exhaust and ran TWO singe in, single out 40 series flowmasters. Next I decided insted of running the exhaust all the way out back, I would just do turn downs to let that exhaust echo off of the pavement. No H or X pipe, no headers, no 2000 dollar cat back, just delete the rear cats, run two flowmasters, and be done with it. I know some people will agree that flowmasters are NOT the best option, but when you are on a budget, they really come in handy. The sound..at idle she sounds like a V8 with a huge cam, putting around town it still has a pissed off v6 kinda sound. WOT…unbeleivable, for the money, and in comparison to the high dollar systems out there, I could not be happier. Im just glad I got something right the first time. I have only had this truck for a week, and for all the new owners I would highly reccomend this routs first and see what you think. Ill post some sound clips and videos soon. BTW My truck is an 05 QC.
