Failed Magnaflow Muffler.

They are giving me a hassle... telling me that I have to goto my selling dealer, or another participating dealer... take off the failed muffler send it in, and then they will send me a new one... sometime...

Thing is.. I drive the truck daily... an can not be without a muffler, I need them to send me a replacement, and a return lable so I can send the failed one back..

I talked to a guy named Chris Collin (spelling..), in tech support, he was pretty much worthless... so I called my selling dealer, and was unable to reach, then I called Checkers (who are authorized).. and they wont get involved...

So I sent his boss an email (Jim Cates)... guess we will see where that goes... if it turns bad... I will be sure an post the dirty laundry up about them for all to see....

I have been trying.. no one answers the phone all day... and the email does not get answered... so I dont know if they are even still in business or not yet... I also called the 800 number that I have them, and says its not a valid number.
 
I havent sold a lot of their products yet... just became a vendor but might be able to pull some strings... keep trying your selling dealer, if no luck let me know and i'll see what I can do.

PATRICK... YOU HAVE GOOD MEMORY....

WELL I INSTALLED MY MAGNAFLOW LAST DECEMBER.... LIKE 7K MILES ON IT..

BOOMER TOLD ME TO SAND HIM SOME PICS SO HE CAN SAND THEM TO MAGNAFLOW.... AND THEN THEY WILL SAND ME A NEW CAT BACK....:rock: :rock: ...
 
Mine had a nasty rattle develop after around 1,000 or so miles.MagnaFlow told me the same thing........return through selling dealer.Boomer was selling dealer and said he would help,but I would still have to ship it to him,have him ship me another.I went to another selling dealer and after many phone calls to MagnaFlow and his supplier,they sent a new SYSTEM.(would not send just the muffler)We returned the old one from the dealer and they covered it.

Premier...yeah, we couldn't get ahold of them either, that's why there not a vendor anymore... :eek:

Yeah.. when I did talk to Magnaflow.. they did sorta mention that...:dontknow: Dunno why they just can't send a new muffler...
 
The muffler is stainless and has a lifetime warranty against that type of thing right? I agree, they should just send out a new one.

That was my thoughts exactly... I did not know that stainless would do this... they better take care of it... or the poo is going to hit the fan...
 
Soooo, is this becoming more of a common problem with the Magnaflow systems?? :hmmmm2:
I'm looking into purchasing a Magnaflow cat-back real soon, but this most certainly raises a few concerns to me now...
 
mbrp!!!!!!!! with jmb catless mids it will be the loudest truck on the block.
 
I have had my Magnaflow on my truck for 2 years now, and knock on wood no problems as of yet.
