Famoso 6-10-2011 Results

Made four passes and Killed a Lighning! No new ET record , but I did improve on my best speed (mph) ever at Famoso.Remember last month I went 11.971 @ 115.31. Here are my results from tonight:
Run 1: temp 86 deg. , DA 2745, 60' 1.791, 1/8th 7.794 @ 89.88, 1/4 mile 12.090 @ 114.90 ( this was the best corrected pass of the night, corrected time was 11.695 @ 118.867)
Run 2: temp 79, DA 2325, 60' 1.836, 1/8th 7.830 @ 89.71, 1/4 mile 12.139 @ 114.35.
Run 3: temp 70, DA 1723, 60' 1.819, 1/8th 7.780 @ 90.05, 1/4 mile 12.073 @ 114.89. (This run was against the Lightning, his time was 60' 2.652, 1/8th 9.967 @ 75.70, 1/4 mile 15.140 @ 94.90) I almost felt guilty, he was close to stock on street tires (big 22"s custom wheels)......it was a bloodbath.
Run 4: Best run of the night and new best MPH at Famoso. 60' 1.749, 1/8th 7.718 @ 90.45, 1/4 mile 11.988 @ 115.52 mph. If I had had a better 60' like my normal 1.72 or 1.71, that would have been my new record.Oh the temp was 66 and the DA was 1478'. But all in all a good night .:rock:

June 24, Friday, gates open at 7 pm , racing from 8pm till midnight, although they had a late clean up and I made my last run at 12:54 am....nice cool air. Hope to meet you if you can make it.

Do you realize how small a Lightning looks in your mirror when you win by over 3 seconds.....wow about 30 truck lengths. :rock::burnout:

That 60' time on the that lightning is impressive. His 1/4 mile looks like the time for a Gen 1 lightning.
That DA at famosa is killer, my buddy from SD runs his 9 second lightning up there once in a while, and always bitches.

It was a Gen. II Lightning, but to be fair it was the guys 1st time ever at the track. He had what appeared to be oversized custom wheels with street tires and he took a passenger with him. I never saw him but I assume he just roasted the tires on the line. I probably have a slight edge in experience over him.....just saying. He was a great sport about it though, he and his friends all came over after the race and said how much they liked my truck and how impressed they were. They even stuck around to watch the 11.98 run. Nice kids.:rock:

My truck is still having wiring issues. Just talked to my boss to see if i could get friday off to at least come down to spectake but i got denied lol. Oh well maybe next time
