Famoso Drag Strip wil be open this weekend for open Test and Tune, I think gates open at 8AM each day. I will be there on Saturday for sure, trying to improve on my 12.49 the last time out on Nov. 17. Hope some of you California guys can join me. Trainman

Try to get some video of your runs dude...........your a shifting mofo thats for sure!!!!

Question for the expert................a racer friend of mine that runs his TA in the 11's told me with a manual tranny after you cross the finish line you should put the truck in neutal and let the clutch out and use the brakes to slow down .......not use the brakes and engine. What do you do?

patrick

Patrick ... Absolutely correct... I pop into neutral and ease the brakes only, I never use the engine to slow down. If you have watched my shifting video you will notice that after I go through the gears I pop it into neutral and coast down to about 20 MPH before we show the second run watching the tach.

What happens on severe deceleration is all the oil runs to the front of the pan and that can uncover the pickup and cavitate the bottom end of the motor.

Without high RPM and no load (idle) the bearings should live a lot longer.

Jerry I'll be a 90% show for Saturday. I'll figure it out by Friday and let you know for sure. I feel the need to speed.:D :burnout: :burnout: Now if I can just get the shifting up to speed................:dontknow:

Hi Jack.... Bring the RED Truck ... I 'm trying to get a young freind of mine to bring out his 2007 Z06 for a challenge match ( he'll be on the stock tires and I will have my M&H's..HEE HEE)

Thanks man, I thought I saw you do that in your video but wanted to be sure when I race this year. Good luck beating your best time.

OK Brad... we'll try the M&H's on your black truck and you'll run a 12 second ET for sure!!!

Man I wish I could go.

Break your own NA record.........

My FM has flared up real bad right now and I have take it easy for a while.

I will be at Famoso for the March Meet. We will be in the Funny car pits with Randy's old FC. We will be selling shirts and autographed pics of the fire.

We will be taking my new 32' enclosed trailer. this will be the first time out for the trailer with a car inside.

Hope he can drive or he is toast.......

If he can drive it might be a pretty good race..............:burnout:

The Z06 driver says it useless on the stock Run-Flats as they are very hard and stiff side walls. He says he spins in the first three gears....I'm planning on really showing him some VIPER ASS!

The runcraps don't hook worth a flip, had them on my 97 and 98 C5s.

I put some Michelin Pilot Sports on the 98 and they made it a different car.

You will probably clean his little Vette clock..;)
