Last min invite for tomorrow Nov 4 2012 to show up at Famoso, I will be there to videotape the races. Noid, PhxPoolGuy, and Trainman will be there to represent. Racing starts at 10am and gates open at 8am.

My truck is making an appearance as well after the last 10 or so GTG's in my Impalla SS or Volvo turbo. Here's the way the 10 looks after a few SoCal AutoStyles accessories:

Results from today...not the best. I am having trouble with the Gen II JTS Venom shifter. I am going to reinstall the Gen I and retest. I was happy with the carbon fiber driveshaft. Generally my 60' times are averaging from 1.68 to 1.74. Today I had a 1.598, 1.617,1.640,1.633, 1.633. First pass of the day was the best.
Pass 1: 1.598 60', 7.488 @ 90.18 1/8th mile, 11.754 @ 116.14. DA was 1280'
Pass 2: Missed 3rd:mad: 12.239 @112.92
Pass 3: Missed 3rd:mad: 12.272 @113.38
Pass 4: Missed 3rd:mad: 12.306 @113.59
Pass 5: Missed 3rd:mad: 12.354 @112.91

I had fun though, because I got to drive a supercharged Camaro SS for the first time. This guy I just met for the first time today from the LA Area, had a new 45th anniv. Camaro, built 6.2 LS3 with a Whipple supercharger, not fully tuned but guessing he dynoed about 640+, he was still tuning the car with his lap top. His problem was Street Tires! His friends all told him to have me drive the car, as he was spinning bad and could not shift that well. He ran a 12.7@118 , then a 12.26 @119 , his best, and a couple other passes, all with 2.30+ 60' times. I had never driven on of these new Camaros. He had a Hurst short shifter, Mcleod twin disc clutch , and stock 3.45 gears, on 305 series street tires. He showed me how to turn off the traction control, I asked at what RPM he was launching, and what rpm he was shifting at. I then got in the car, cleaned off the tires (no long burnout), launched at about 2300 rpm( he was using 2800-3000 rpm) easy off the line then bury the throttle, I power shifted at 6500 rpm (he had been shifting at 6800)....car was smooth and quick...I had a 2.030 60'....and I ran a 11.58 @124.6mph. That guy was happy! I had fun....kinda made my day:rock:

Noid 's best was 12.26 @ 114+ (his best speed ever, with a 1.69 60'). He did not have an 11 second pass....the time slips were in error....one was an 11.08 @ 111. + , and one was in the 10's....weird!

Wow, Noid really stepped up his game! :D. Seriously though, the story about you knocking 7 tents off that guys 1/4 times is awesome! Sucks to hear about your experience with the Gen II shifter. What was the issue with it?

There were no TENTS at the drag strip!:D Seriously though, the shifter is very close, but it feels very stiff, and just bloked me going smoothly into 3rd gear at full power shifts, I can do it at low speed, clutch adjustment is fine, not too close to the floor and some play at the top.

Just got home. I wish I had a tent to video tape under. It was a hot day in direct sun coupled with having the flu! Noid tried to help by doing these massive burnouts that made a huge cloud over me. Thanks Mike for the sun break! I had fun being at the drag strip! There were a few close calls. Noid even got into the 10's today. That makes him second to Dom. Hahahaha.

I'm still baffled that I got my best 60 foot and highest mph in the same run but I still did not beat my personal best. Someone clue me in.
