One of the reasons i mentioned vegas is because its a real simple place to

meet up. Not only that, any part of vegas or hotel will have no promblem

accomodating a group of our size. My thoughts were that everybody just

show up at the dragstrip a open time the day of. If you want to get there

the night before and stay at a hotel or motel of your choice that would be

completely up to the person going. For those that remember food is very

important part of the gtg. For those that remember in the bakersfield gtg we

easily overwhelmed the staff at the peanut place and it took a half hour

to get chilifries and a glass of water... I just thought it would be

better if we had dinner or lunch at a casino buffet where everyone can enjoy

numerous helpings of prime rib, crab legs a chicken without having to wait

and in a nice place where we can all sit together. After that I'd figure we rub

elbows and play one dollar black jack and drink a few beers. Like I said as

well maybe even throw a lil caravan cruise down the strip in the trucks and

enjoy the sights and lights at night.( I think its legal in nevada to let people

ride in the back so people who dont bring their trucks can hitch a ride.) As

far as activites go there is tons and think this gtg would be a great time for

some folks to turn into a mini vacation.

Sorry Alfredo, I couldn't resist - I love it!!!! A half hour and 30 minutes :D :D :D

Vegas would have everything

 If my job doesn't fizzle out, Betty and I would love to fly in:rock: Would certainly be our best chance to meet you crazy West Coasters,

Like I said, for me it's being around you lunatics. I don't care about the trucks. I will fly in. Besides, I never been to Vegas so here's my chance. AND February is my hatch month. So you KNOW I have to do this.:D

im gonna go wherever it is.
the problem, the poll said SD...so pepople got ass-chapped when we said vegas. then I got a few calls by guys who said just plan it in AZ and we will come. so im not gonna vote, im just gonna show up where ever it is.

I would go anywhere.. I'd even go to SD if someone would explain to me... what the rainbow is all about.

I'm currently waiting for a call from the track to see what the best dates

available in feb are. I'm sure they wont suggest nascar weekend.

I'm also looking into finding out which hotel/casino can give us the best group

rate but not be too shady looking. If some of you folks want to stay at a nearby

motel such as travelodge that is completely fine. I stayed at one in vegas

once on a emergency visit and it was very nice. You folks are free to stay

at which ever hotel you wish but I just thought I pick a main hotel/casino to

keep all from being scattered over the city of sin.

ALSO

Depending on how his plans out I was thinking of arrangin a cruise on sunday

morning down to THE HOOVER DAM. If you never been it is a definate must

see. It's also a very nice drive and only about 25mins from vegas. It would

be cool to get a shot of our trucks going across the dam.

read closer (post 13).. "I'm currently waiting for a call from the track to see what the best dates available in feb are."

could hardly call out february 9th when there isn't even a track date yet....... it's for february 2009 - little slow on the uptake? :D

What is a rainbow all about?

Author Donald Ahrens in his text Meteorology Today describes a rainbow as "one of the most spectacular light shows observed on earth". Indeed the traditional rainbow is sunlight spread out into its spectrum of colors and diverted to the eye of the observer by water droplets. The "bow" part of the word describes the fact that the rainbow is a group of nearly circular arcs of color all having a common center.

There you have it, Anthony...
