First drag for the Q/C

Q/C quarter mile times.

This is truly a great site! Thanks to all that took the challenge to guess my times. Run #1 -13.14 106 mph Run # 2- 12.97 109 mph I had good launches spun pretty good when it shifted to second on the first pass. 2nd pass I feathered it at second gear shift. Obviously traction took a toll. This truck has a lot more its tough not to hammer it out of the hole but we all know what would happen. Do I hear anybody thinking SLICKS!
 
I had 13.15 !! Pretty good guess! decent run,I know I could not get those numbers in this thick ass air we have in south florida!
 
Got any vids of it?* Sorry to bust your balls.* Those are times I got in better air with very similar power gains.* Corrected times would be 12.4 on really good air at your track. If you did get those times that is the best running QC I have ever heard of for those mods.:bs:

Ok for the kind sole's that question my times. All these trucks have the potential of running twelves with the same modifications. It how you introduce its power potential to track and conditions. In this case 55 degree's and 25 pounds of rear tire presure. Also Ihave been racing since 1968. As I said this was fun I will take your advise and film it next time for the nay sayers. Oh, but next time it will have slicks and a much better ET
 
yep,,hard to believe at that elevation with just your mods..RC I would believe ,,,OC Its hard to believe
 
So what track and what time of day was it? Again if this is correct you should be racing against John Force with that driver mod. I launched hard with Drag Radials for those times. I could have went harder but the track would not take it. Your track is at 2300' +? If you were at a sea level track I would be more no problem. Because I just got those times this last weekend. A timeslip would work too.
 
I will give a few more reasons I find your times hard to believe.

1. The fastest NA QC on our timeslip is RottenRonnie. And he ran that time at an altitude similar to your previous post. His trap speed was only 105.

2. The trap speed is possible with those times with some help from the racing gods. I was in Sacramento when I trapped 109 and Trainmain also got his highest trap speed there too. Trainman is one of the best drivers that actively post on the site.

3. Flyinglow ran his QC at 12.7 @108 with a flash, K&N drop in filter and exhaust with a negative DA on street tires.

4. When you lifted off the gas for the 1-2 shift, I would think you would lose some time. I can see a great driver being able to do this with minimal loss in time.

5. I think the fastest time for a QC possible with bolt-ons is 12.6 corrected. Maybe a 12.5 with all the stars aligned with the racing gods approval. With your stated elevation your corrected time would be 12.49 with the input data of 12.97 @ 2376' DA.

I would love for you to prove me wrong! I will be the first person to say sorry and congrats on a very good run.
 
As I said this was for fun. Its hard to debate when I cant prove it. Im sure if I had taped it or post a picture of the time slip the next thing would be im not being truthful about my mods. Anyway thanks again to those that helped steer me to the mods that I made.
 
Well Congrats! You either have a monster of a truck, or a track clock that is working highly in your favor. Here is a vid of my old truck running with similar mods, except it had cats. This is in Rockingham NC; where the elevation is 287 ft. While your et is impressive for your elevation, it's the trap speed that seems a little out of whack. But if that's what you ran, then again, congrats.

You can still make me a believer. It looks like you have been racing a long time and keeping timeslips are not a big deal.

You can tell us what track you were at and the time of day it was. Then your DA can be checked out:rock: . That is all the info I need. If you could tell us that would be great. If you don't want to tell us then I have to go with a BS run:eek:

I hope that I am not coming off as a jerk. It is not my intention. That is all.

I'm running my QC at York (UK) this year and I will scan the timeslip for you guys.

It only has the K & N and magnaflow but our regular gas is 95 octane.

Does a sea level track make things quicker?
Our country is so small, altitude doesn't enter everyday conversation so be kind.

Yes. It makes all the difference for the fastest possible time you can get. My home track times are 14.1-14.3. At sea level my best was almost exactly the same as 34bud. I was getting 12.97-13.2

Here was the pass break down

And that is why I am anxious to get to a good sea-level track... The guys that live and race at sea-level REALLY whine when they come to Calgary and experience one of our legendary 5800 footers which is typical here in the summer..Like you said, you can add A SECOND to your e.t. climbing up from sea-level to the thin air of higher altitudes.

There are more than a few guys on the forums that just don't get this. If we ever have a gathering at a high altitude track, they will..
When I tell them stock SRT-10 Q Cabs run a low 15 here, they think I'm on glue.


Those NEGATIVE D.A. numbers (on a good day at sea-level) is when engines really make good power...
