All challenge racers are required to wear a helmet and long pants (sweats over shorts is acceptable).
Normal T&T rule is 13.99 or faster requires a helmet and driveshaft loop.

Also, make sure it is newer than Snell 95. They are no longer accepted by tech as of Feb 2007.
You can rent helmets at the track by the gas pumps for around $10-$15 if necessary.

They have been relaxed about the d/s loops for the challenges. If they ask during tech-in just tell them you expect to be above the 13.99 dial. Other than no electronics, trans brake, ect... You should only be required a helmet and long pants.
You will need the d/s loop eventually for T&T nights if you are faster than 13.99 and they catch you. Good possibility reading your mod list LOL.

Shit i remember last year in my evo i told the guys my car was running 13's I had no clue what i was going to run my first rn was a 12.4 then my last run was a 11.8 that guy wanted to kill me. But i have never been asked about that loop crap your talking about
 
Chad can probably weight in on which one is best for you guys - don't flame me, gotta remember I'm one of those "L guys" :D .

I think the rule is that the loop needs to be within 3 inches (maybe 3-1/2":dontknow: ) of the front U-joint, but don't quote me. I can check a rule book tomorrow night.
We have had other guys running the challenge below 14's without the loop. Good and cheap for piece of mind though.
 
what up guys!? correct me if i am wrong but i thought loops were only for manual transmissions....but if the L's are running them then I guess they require them for auto's also. its basically a safety bracket that will catch your drive shaft if it ever snaps and tries to pole vault your ass! i got mine form Moes Metalworks....they make one specifically for the SRT10. Be sure you got helmet long pants and sneakers....no flip flops! This should be a fun run....the QC's will be consistent!
