The last two times it's rained here I've had a slight leak from my sunroof. I cleaned my drains and still it leaked so I took it to the dealer. I didn't want to but fixing the drain would be alot better than replacing interior pieces because of mold and mildew. THEY QUOTED ME $675 to adjust the sunroof!?!? They said it was sitting just under flush with the roof, I had never noticed it been when he showed me the rear of the glass it was just a hair low. I said haha no thanks I'll figure it out myself. After a few minutes of surfing I found something and in literally less than 5 minutes had fixed it.
1. Place the ignition switch in RUN position.
2. Close all of the doors.
3. Press and release the vent switch (sunroof should move to vent position).
4. Once the sunroof has stopped motion at the vent position, press and hold the vent switch for at least 5 seconds to re-calibrate the sunroof position.
**If the sunroof did not reach the full vent open position, press and hold the vent switch until the full-vent-open position is reached then release the vent switch, then press and hold the vent switch for at least 5 seconds to re-calibrate the sunroof position.**
5. Cycle the sunroof from the full-vent-open position to the full-slide-open position and back to the full-vent-open position at least 7 complete times. The sunroof is now in customer mode with the obstacle detection thresholds updated.
Yeah, it was really that easy and my sunroof is sitting perfectly flush.
