Just wondering what your work out schedule is and if taking suplements?

Thanks to NOWHAT Im back hitting the weights again and want to try something different. Im pretty serious about it and im having a little trouble getting back into it. A year ago i was 198 lbs and pressing 395 for 3 reps at the bench. Now:D in 250 lbs and pressing only 295 for 6 reps. This is just an idea of where im at.

As far as supplements go, Im now on NO-Xplode, Jet Fuel (thermogenic), and Novadex-XT for later:D . (No, I don't use illegal supplements:nurse: )

I'll post a Now pic and in a month i'll post another and so on. Planning to get down to 215-220 within a few months.

i used to and quit, got almost a whole gym upstairs in my manspace but too damn lazy to get back up there. keep telling myself im gonna start back up. tried to get at least 300 grams of protien a day and lay off the carbs. eas makes some stuff called betagen that helps with the soreness.

Thanks Eddie...Protein is a must. I forgot to mention that above. I am on low carb to almost no carb diet. Chicken breasts and Turkey patties are my best friends now.

i think i read where they were eating 8 to 10 thousand calories a day. man that'd be tough. i always ate 6 times a day when i was working out always felt full. but thats the way your supposed to be when trying to build muscle. you dont want your metabolism to slow down.

I have used all types of NoS supplements while training for cycling and tri's.
They really do work! Definitely supplys more oxygen especially to the extremities to the point where you can ( at least I did) feel a noticible difference during wieght training.

I thought about PMing IBSTONE but i dont want to bother him. If he wants to chime in that would be great. As far as eating goes, I eat when i can. Im on a graveyard shift so im a little sdrawkcab:D . I usually eat around 4 or 5 times. The NOS does work. I've tried different ones and X-Plode is the one that works for me. Deffinetly more stamina.

What about your estrogen supplements for your man breasts?!:D

Seems like your doing all the good stuff. What about Glutamine for recovery? With such a low carb diet make sure your getting enough fiber and water.........you gotta process all that protein. The other thing that a lot of people dont understand is overtraining. For me I found that my best results with heavy weight training was to lift only every other day. When I was on a 5 day a week schedule I did grow but when I cut it back, I really saw much better results. I was shocked, so now its only every other day, never two days in a row.......but realize I am 43.

Keep it up Iz, your making great progress.............and next GTG you can put Mike in a headlock:D ;) LOL

Thanks, I deffinetly need the glutamine. That is something im not taking and i should. I drink about a gal and a half of water a day. I like to eat broccoli as a source of fiber and in some occasions I'll have Metamusil shake:toilet: .

NO-EXPLODE is great stuff.. I would also rec taking CELL MASS post work-out. it works awesome with NO-EXPLODE and is made by the same company.

I used to take that. Great stuff just a little short on cash. Had to limit my suplements to what i have now. If i could, I would also buy the Nitrix. Makes X-plode work 10 times better.

You can do it Iz, just keep focused.

I think Derek is in Europe competing right now.

I don't believe in using supplements or roids. There is no supplement in the world that will help you better then just plain hard work Iz. Ever see what happens to power lifters and their Ilk when they stop taking them ? They are designed to work when you do and are short term for a long term goal. The easiest but hardest thing to do would be to radically change your diet..To one that is properly balanced and then work your Ass off, put in the time and the rewards are far greater. But the way you should do it will require a major life style change and no beer :D Lose the weight you have gained first via massive Cardio workouts, then build the muscle..That way you are not building muscle on top of fat and it will reduce rebound weight...Use lighter weights and increase the repitition...This will get you stronger faster and increase lean muscle mass....Once you reach a certain level of desired weight then start power lifting.

Stay away from bad carb's like beer and anything from concentrate i.e. fruit juices.....Increase your water intake to about 2 gallons a day over the next 2 months, Cardio your ass off and drink 12 oz of pure not from concentrate Grapefruit juice before bed every night and the weight will come off easily. Worked for me and I lost 200 lbs and have kept it off....I would be very willing to help Iz gimme a call if you want....But IMHO supplements are for people that are lazy and the long term effects are still being studied...Lokk at Jack Lalane Bro.....100 % natural is the only way to go...Your Northern friend, Mikey :D

last august I was powerlifting (NASA) in a natural league, 6'1" 218 pounds: 455 Bench with belt a wrist wraps only. My squat & DL were over 400 but not a focus, I squatted 225 for 26 ass to the floor. Ate 6000 calories a day, used whey, NO xplode, speed stack, muscle milk and stuck to a strick high protein diet. I stopped over the winter for a few months cut down to 190 pounds at about 10% Body fat, and now use no supplements. I can say for a fact that outside of NO xlpolde to wake me up a 5 am supplements really don't do much for me. I can do 32 full range of motion dips and about 20 full range pull ups. My wife told me if I got down to a six-pack stomach I would get 4 BJ's a week...so thats all it took for her to say to help me cut the weight:D

Sound good but Im also trying to grow, not just loose the weight. I've used supplements all the time and im by no means im lazy when it comes to training. I dont think i have lost much muscle mass and I know I got a little weaker but thats common for anyone that takes a 1 year break. I do 40 min of cardio after every workout. As for roids, not my thing. I know their effects. Jack Lalane?...Look at the Gov. of Cali:D .

Oh and who ever said Beer was bad carbs. You can get banned for that you know. Better hope Shawn dont see that.:D It has protein and thats good.

Great thread!!! I'll be very interested in seeing your results, Iz.

I've been meaning to do something similar for a while. I've gained a few pounds also and would love to cut it and put on some muscle. I personally could care less what a scale says, the mirrors tells all. :D

You must first lose the weight Iz...If not then your rebound weight will be worse......I made the offer and it was very sincere, you have the number :D
