Just an FYI for those that are looking.

I have a mopar long tubes,catless mids, and a magnaflow catback exhaust. I did like the sound but I thought it had a horrible drone at 50 mph in 5th gear around 1700 rpm, and overall it was loud.
Well I picked up the mopar(borla) catback from Ram From Hell at a great price. received it today and installed it.

when I first started it up it sounded exactly the same, pretty loud at idle. wasn't sure what to expect. took it for a nice spirited drive and was very impressed! there is NO MORE DRONE. or it is just not registering with me yet. sounds nice and loud at idle and loud when I hammer it down. in between, for part throttle, it is much more quiet but you can still hear the exhaust.

For any of those out there with long tubes and no cats and has a exhaust that is to loud. the mopar catback ROCKS! no more drone and sounds more refined and has the exotic sound to it.


I think it has to do with the 3" pipe on the magnaflow causing a resonance. or maybe it was just the muffler. don't know, I'm sure with no long tubes or wtih cats it would have been fine.

I just know I LOVE THE FULL MOPAR EXHAUST on the truck!!!!:rock: :rock: :rock:

Love my straight pipes with an x pipe insert...but I don't think the local constables will feel the same...

So it will be Corsa or Borla...will take the winter to decide...

Anyone tried just Magnaflow resonators?

I have Magnaflow resonators and a Magnaflow muffler that came off my truck.

I did have resonators in front of the Magnaflow and it resolved the drone issue. Now I am wondering if just the resonators would quiet my truck a little...?

I am very happy with the sound of mine. Bassani's, 3 inch catless mids, and a Magnaflow cat-back. If anything, I would like it just a little louder.

Yes your assumption is correct. They are downstream of the BB muffler. I have removed the spare tire to perform this installation ala Belgium Barry
