Head over to the Camry forums. You'll hear the same thing:
"
...saw an SRT-10 on the highway today; pulled up next to it and finally got the owner to run; I pwned him 'till I guess his computer shut him down. I was well over 210mph when I finally let off..."
That crap happens on ALL the forums. Even if someone SEES one of our trucks, they'll put up a huge post about some faux encounter at excessive speeds on public roads.
This, however, is one of the true stories.
I was awaiting my turn for the exit ramp today- left-arrow light- with a new 350Z in front of me (temp tags). There was a van and two other vehicles in front of us. As the light turned, the van had the reaction time of moss. The 350Z and I *barely* made the light...and there were still a dozen cars behind me that didn't (and probably pissed).
The 350Z sees that the ramp goes to 2 lanes before it gets on the 6-lane highway. He rips into the open right lane of the ramp and drops to 2nd, then quickly up to 3rd.
I do the same...but I used my turn signal.

I'm a safe distance from his bumper, but not losing any ground...and certainly not sweating. He continues into 4th and I do the same. I was watching for traffic/cops/animals/etc. so I didn't check the speedo, but I think I might have peeked over the posted 65 mph limit.

(Note: Save for the 5 vehicles listed above, the ramp was completely clear, sunny skies, dry roads, and about 3/4 of a mile in length)
The upcoming section of highway is usually PACKED with troopers, so I break off the run and let him find them for me (I'm a jerk like that. LOL). Plus, I had to get off at the next exit anyway.
I'm in a 5200 lb. full-size pickup....staying even with Nissan's top-of-the-line sports car.
I still believe.
